Oh and the male protagonists reacts with horror/disgust when she shows him her genitals.

That sure as hell sounds worse than CDPR's one admittedly lame ass tweet, and one iffy in-game poster. Sure they could have done better on the voice-pronouns thing, but CDPR is at least giving an effort to improve on LGBT issues. Like I don't doubt they will release a patch to fix the pronoun issue. Atlus has done no such thing. Hell Japanese Atlus wouldn't even let American Atlus fix/remove the gay sex predator subplot.

Yet one could end up being banned on Era and the other gets a pass. Not to mention other problematic franchises like Fire Emblem with its pedo/loli dragon girl and Xenoblade with its hentai looking designs.

If going forward, any game with problematic elements is soooo bad, that it has to be banned and users shammed for being fans of it, then that must apply to all games with problematic elements.

Otherwise it appears like a lot of this outrage is only a shield to bash games/devs/companies certrain posters already dislike or had no interest in. It's nothing but self-gloating, users bragging about how woke they are (without making much of a personal sacrifice), and slapping down Era users who they feel don't share their same level of passion.

I do wonder if Cyberpounk/Harry Potter talk is banned, if some users will try to do this with other big franchises too?

A sick part of me wonders what would happen if Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, Street Fighter, or Persona became the next target. That would start a civil war at Era for sure.

To add: I love how they are throwing a tantrum, still, over the supposed 'crunch period' over at CDPR (which was all proven false and even voted for by the employees themselves; only amounting to a few extra hours per week) whereas, if memory serves correctly, they had one single thread regarding the actual terrible working conditions over at Rockstar. No shitposting that fact over and over again in Rockstar related threads either because... reasons? And that's on top of the numerous sexual harrasment allegations rife in that company as well. Not a peep out of Era about any of that anymore though. Absolute hypocrites.

I’ve caught up with a lot in this amazing thread of all the Era craziness and I cannot state this enough: I’m glad I got out that vile and hateful shit-hole that purports to be supporters of minority groups. As a minority myself, I consider myself liberal but do lean conservative in a few points and did join the mass exodus during the creation of Era, but I finally broke away after realizing it’s a massive depression dump of made-up grievances that is totally detached from the real world. Their rhetoric changes constantly and becomes hard to follow and understand many times, not to mention the in-fighting that is just pathetic and immature. Juvenile garbage.

I disagree with the politics of quite a few posters here, but would never think of impeding their right to voice their opinions. Era does much more harm to legitimate minority causes and relations. What they promulgate simply isn’t the case (a vast majority of the time) within and outside the US.

Was waiting for something like this. Yeah on the one hand letting the player play a hero role while being part of the most savage cultures in post-classical history is a bit odd and doesn't quite work (though I fucking love the game anyway) but it's not problematic. It's not pro-colonisation propaganda. There's no subtext. It's just a game set in a fascinating period of history that lets you do something that no major game has done before (viking raids!). I grew up in Leicestershire and I'm not pearl clutching about the fucking vikings 1200 years ago.
