See, this is one thing I believe I will never not find kind of weird.

"Stay knowing this is never going to be a safe space for us", they write. The fact that someone in that same "space" is interested in a product whose content they deem at least in part transphobic is enough to make that "space" not "safe" anymore.

Like, they literally feel threatened because a random person on a forum, possibly on the other side of the globe, will buy a game. I honestly would be very interested in having a face to face conversation with some such individuals.

I really wonder when a place is 'safe' enough for them? What kind of weak spineless scared fucker feels unsafe because people on a forum like a game with a bit of (alleged) transphobia in it?

To be fair, I think that user is among the most... absurd, for lack of a better word, of the site. Since we're talking about CDPR, I remember one post of his discrediting TW3 which was, quite simply, complete and total bollocks. meawhile the actual trans awareness week thread has only 3 pages. weirdly enough Kyuu seems to have slapped it together and abandoned the thread, even after having it stickied. they haven't posted anything in it in the week it's been up, aside from popping in once to collect thanks from everybody else.

then i looked at the OP, and noticed it has zero resources for donating to trans charities, or help call lines, or anything really. even after someone offered some resources up, Kyuu never responded. it's just a list of infographics. talk about low effort. pretty much just using the trans identity as a flag post.

They commonly see representing something as supporting the thing itself. The fact that the ads are supposed to make you uncomfortable to make you question that usage of commercialism doesn't come into it, the ads make them uncomfortable therefore they are bad and the artists are bad for creating them on purpose. And the artists probably did it because of their hatred, because why else would someone be bad and show something bad?
