OK, tonight is off for "Operation Cluster." (I like that) :lol Because some people like fake Hollywood stars more than they like their real teammates in Resistance who watch their backs and keep them from getting killed... (Sorry...that's the best guilt trip I can come up with on such short notice.)
We need to organize one though soon though.

I actually didn't kill everyone that second time. I did shoot a rocket and apply the air brake right after M3Freak finished taking pics in hope of blowing you all up but Kittonwy beat me to that one. For all the Noobs
TO JOIN:
1) LOGIN to Resistance MP online at least one time.
2) LEAVE any clan you are in right now.
3) PM kaching on NEOGAF to get added to the clan roster.
4) WAIT a couple days for him to get back to you.
5) In the meantime if you want to play with the clan, send one of the gaffers a buddy invite (please tell him you are from gaf) so he can get you invited to the party. ^_^
Standard meet up times (for whenever you have the opportunity):
Tuesdays 6pm PST
Saturdays 6pm PST
Sundays 6pm PST
(Monday Jan 29th: Times adjusted slightly in favor of the ESTeemed)
Suggestions suggest(!) that creating parties and going into ranked games together would be the preferred thing to do for the meet ups. So no longer do the first one to get online create a room but instead invite everyone to a party. This however makes it very important that you're all a part of the NeoGAF clan (pm kaching with details, make sure you've logged on to Resistance online at least once before) or simply have all folks listed above on your friend list. Again, the first one to get online should start a party and invite the others as they come online.
Also, it has come to my attention that over 20 people have started to show up for these meetups and that means one party is not enough. If that is the case then one of you simply need to create a second party. If you're the party leader (of either) then posting your details in this thread would be helpful.

The "flying wedge" is the term given to our tendency to mob together in a violent swarm and shoot the everliving hell out of anyone who dares get near us. It leads to multiple assists per kill which leads to a 20-60% increase in points. 16 points for a kill is far better than 10!
It does not, despite its name, resemble a true flying wedge - although generally whoever is at the front of the pack will get gunned down while those behind break through and destroy the opposition. So maybe it's not completely inaccurate.
Also people, it would be a big plus if everyone invested in a headset. For headset details and recommendations, follow this link. Good group play is helped by using your headset to report in changes that occur in the heat of battle. Enemy groups, Snipers, Node status and so forth.
A great addition was made to http://www.myresistance.net on Monday Feb 5th in the form of leaderboards viewable straight from the site. It's time to get famous or die trying.

If I remember right I got at least a 5 kill ribbon. I don't think I got to 7. I'm sorry that CTF game took WAY TOO LONG.
Winning that second round of that TDM against WAR ended the night on a good note though. This isn't just a clan grudge anymore, it's HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE, I just want to beat them so badly everytime I run into them.

Had some good games tonight. Although, CTF not very fun. Reaaaaaally Slow.
I don't think we're missing out on much when we never get into CTF games on clan nights.
Also, are we all agreed that the carbide needs a bit of a damage boost?
Those Chimera/Human battles are starting to get so lopsided, especially since about everybody is good at tagging now.

and yeah CTF is not that much fun on big maps. they need to be on small maps that aren't hard to lose which direction you're going.

I think CTF is awesome. (Of course, it's one of the only modes where I tend to at least sometimes get Top Ten score, so I'm a little biased!)
Only problem last night was everybody was so into the "defense mode" from the two previous Meltdown games against some good teams, that the CTF became too much a battle over the good sniper spots, and counterstrike "sweeper" teams on defense, and not enough about good small squad firefights and striking fast on offense, which it probably should be.
I know I spent a vast majority of my time doing solo counter-sniping maneuvers last night (Auger works great for this BTW) and got one capture and escorted two more just because I had slowly picked my way sooooo deep behind the lines that I had nothing else to really do. I certainly didn't want to try to go back through that "sniper alley" that was set up in the middle of the map empty-handed!
One nice thing also about the CTF mode is that it is probably the only mode where Human has a real clear advantage.
I see it breaking down like this:
Team DM: Advantage - Chimera
CTF: Advantage - Human
Breach: Slight Advantage - Chimera (only some maps)
Meltdown - Slight Advantage - Human (only some maps)
