while i'm remembering it, i had a weird bug while in multiplayer. when i was switching weapons or after i did a melee attack or something, my character's right arm was stuck in a weird position (aka not on the gun) and i could see the whole arm and hand on the screen in the same position not moving at all.

when i tried doing another melee attack or change a weapon, the arm was still there and didn't change position at all. When i did a melee attack, only one of the arms would move (the left one) so it looked like the guy was whipping the gun around rather than hitting them with a butt.

i dont really know how to explain it. it happened a while ago, and haven't gotten it since. It fixed once i died.

For all the Noobs

TO JOIN:

1) LOGIN to Resistance MP online at least one time.

2) LEAVE any clan you are in right now.

3) PM kaching on NEOGAF to get added to the clan roster.

4) WAIT a couple days for him to get back to you.

5) In the meantime if you want to play with the clan, send one of the gaffers a buddy invite (please tell him you are from gaf) so he can get you invited to the party. ^_^

Standard meet up times (for whenever you have the opportunity):

Tuesdays 6pm PST

Saturdays 6pm PST

Sundays 6pm PST

Suggestions suggest(!) that creating parties and going into ranked games together would be the preferred thing to do for the meet ups. So no longer do the first one to get online create a room but instead invite everyone to a party. This however makes it very important that you're all a part of the NeoGAF clan (pm kaching with details, make sure you've logged on to Resistance online at least once before) or simply have all folks listed above on your friend list. Again, the first one to get online should start a party and invite the others as they come online.

Also, it has come to my attention that over 20 people have started to show up for these meetups and that means one party is not enough. If that is the case then one of you simply need to create a second party. If you're the party leader (of either) then posting your details in this thread would be helpful.



The Wedge tactic explained:

The "flying wedge" is the term given to our tendency to mob together in a violent swarm and shoot the everliving hell out of anyone who dares get near us. It leads to multiple assists per kill which leads to a 20-60% increase in points. 16 points for a kill is far better than 10!

It does not, despite its name, resemble a true flying wedge - although generally whoever is at the front of the pack will get gunned down while those behind break through and destroy the opposition. So maybe it's not completely inaccurate.

Also people, it would be a big plus if everyone invested in a headset. For headset details and recommendations, follow this link. Good group play is helped by using your headset to report in changes that occur in the heat of battle. Enemy groups, Snipers, Node status and so forth.

A great addition was made to http://www.myresistance.net on Monday Feb 5th in the form of leaderboards viewable straight from the site. It's time to get famous or die trying.

I tried, but it doesn't seem possible to get them to work in the view mode of the spreadsheet. 'Course, I'm just starting to mess with Google spreadsheets so I might have missed something. I've been meaning to investigate further, because it annoys the hell out of me too.

Yeah, this kinda IS our page. It's already about 100x cooler than most Clan pages too.

A drunk Kittonwy quote site would be choice though. I think the fact that he can't put that

at the end of his posts in the Clan lobby probably drives him further to drink, and closer...ever closer...to madness.

-Enables world-wide play with the option to play only with your own region (in-house testing of international gamers playing on US servers experienced NO LAG)

So I finally finished my first campaign (damn multiplayer distractions, hehe). It started off pretty meh, but especially the last 2/3 of the game was amazing! I took my sweet time and inspected the scenery closely and toy'd around with the physics engine a lot. I'm so going to replay the campaign on a higher difficulty level. The whole game (sp&mp) is such excellent value!

Anyone checked out the cinematics? I've almost passed out from laughing after watching "Stranger Than Fission" :lol

Yup, back when I played/finished the Campaign mode in Hard and Superhuman, I was amazed by the physics in this game as well. I was playing around with pool balls, knocking dead soldiers around, meleeing objects all over, and firing different weapons so I could look at what kind of mark they left on certain materials. Good times...

I remember I had to run from one place to another at the right time. There are hordes of Chimera you need to dispatch first before you dash for the next station. I didn't really care much about the Angels though. I just took out the foot soldiers.

ok well im well past the manchester section, and sure enough i AM starting to enjoy it, well a lot more than i originally did anyway.


my main gripe with the game is its TERRIBLY inconsistent. why do some scenarios absolutely SUCK then the next level is totally action packed? the game has really weird pacing. the same goes for the visuals too. the part where you were in the chimera production labs with the tubes etc, looked really nice! but then the next level wouldnt look too out of place in an xbox 1 game.


the game feels like its really starting to pick up, gameplay wise. i dont care for the story, but the action is at least improving 10 fold.
