RESOGUN |OT| It's about kicking ass, and voxels

Has anyone else tried this via remote play? It's unplayable for me (laggy/choppy).

I have lag issues with online co-op as well, so I'm not sure if the issues are with the game or if it's just time to upgrade the router.

Dont use the router for RP. Use direct wifi connection to your PS4, and connect PS4 to router with LAN cable.

I downloaded this game, but when I went to play it I got this message: "This application can be started only by a user who has a license for it." I went to "Restore Licenses" in the settings, and that didn't help. Anyone else have this issue?
Yeah, I did. Try deleting it, Restore Licenses, then redownloading it.

I think it happens when PSN is freaking out while processing Resogun in the store.

Thought this game was amazing on single player. Played it on co-op with a friend and was blown away. May be the best launch game, although Killzone is giving it a run for its money.

One caveat to this, depending on how far away from your PS4 you're playing, you might want to turn off direct connection (though still connecting your PS4 to the router with a LAN cable). I get much better range that way, personally. Resogun is surprisingly playable via remote play even stuck at 30 fps, which bodes really well for everything else. I played a bunch in bed last night.

I still hope they can update it to 60 fps on remote play!

Is this easy to setup? I always cable where possible so this is how I'll be doing it.

it's just a toggle under vita settings on the PS4.

Lord Error

Insane For Sony
As expected, the game is incredible. It's crazy fun, quite challenging, and the visuals are spectacular. Never drops a frame during gameplay. I was worried that the chaos on the screen would make it difficult to read the situation, but that's not the case at all. Game feels very fair. Armageddon end level sequence has a slowdown similar to shmup games where they overload the engine with huge volumetric explosions. Really cool music during armageddon too.

Feels fucking rad, man. Great game.

Anyone up for some online co-op? Preferably want to be in a party (I don't think this game has in game chat for some reason).

Played with someone earlier and got up to 24th on the leaderboards, want to get 1st >:D

Edit My PSN is my username if yall want to play!

I use my iPhone headphones on the Vita all the time.

The mic works though?

and I think they'll add DLC for a endless or a pure score chasing mode soon enough. Super Stardust Delta on Vita was already a much better score chaser than the original for that reason. I still think this is a better game for score chasing than super stardust because it ramps up much faster.

Anyone else find the bass in this game to be too powerful?
Using bombs, some enemy explosions and the boss put out some ridiculously powerful and deep bass. I like bass, but this stuff is extreme.

This game is crack.

I haven't even touched my other 5 retail games yet.

Only two more easy trophies left until platinum, then I'll move on.

Great game though with a pretty god tier soundtrack.

Yeah, there's a special sounder that will play and it will release a human with the need to kill keepers.
Watch for the little green releasing light to explode out of the multiplier.

I just had a human go fly out of his little cage and fall straight off the edge of the cliff and die... just missed catching him :(

Played it some (ok four more times than I had planned) before bed and actually dreamed about it.

That's only happened once before with Tetris.

I love love LOVE the mix of difficulty, multiplyer and rescue gameplay in this game.

I would love to play some online coop with some fellow GAFers. Add me - coolbluehalo

I think I've played Resogun more than any retail game I purchased.

I managed to beat it on experienced today and I was almost screaming the entirety of the last boss fight. I only had one life so it was either him or me. I don't know if I'll be able to handle the next difficulty, but I look forward to the frustration of trying.

Sony is so smart for giving this away free*

They knew a lot of people would ignore it even though it's one of the best next gen showcases on either console. Beautiful and addictive game, been having a blast with a buddy in co-op.

Took me 2-3 hours last night to finally finish the final stage on Veteran.

Final boss is easy, I have an easy strat with Nemesis, but trying to stay alive before is a pain in the ass. SO much stuff going on... but finally did it!

How do you know how to find a human when the announcement comes in that they're about to be freed?

And what triggers that? Can I do anything to speed up their release?

I hate to ask, but can someone post a picture of what a keeper is? I will try to figure it out green glowing thing there is just so much going on in that game lol.

Also it would be sweet if the OP could be updated with some basic info, tips, and tricks =]

When you hear, 'Keepers detected', a special group of glowing green enemies spawn. Some spawn in a certain area, and follow a short movement pattern before disappearing off the map (thus, losing that human if you don't kill them in time), some spawn and stay and patrol the map. There is occasionally also groups where you must kill the group in a specific order, if you kill the one that isn't glowing green first, you automatically lose that human. Once you kill them all, a human is freed.

You can tell which one is going to be freed ahead of time because the box with the human will be flickering letting you know once you kill those enemies, this will be the guy that is freed. A lot of the time though, you won't be around there to see that, so you need to rely on the arrow after the fact.

Once you kill the keepers and the human is freed, an arrow appears I believe around your fighter letting you know which direction to go to find the stranded human.

This game is a lot of fun but hard for me to get the hang of. I kept dying over and over. Still haven't quite figured out all the mechanics, like knowing where the next human is going to pop up, what the keepers are and what they look like, etc.

edit: Above post is very informative, thank you.

Can't connect to Fifa servers or NBA for that matter.

So I played Resogun for the first time and haven't stopped for a hour!

Defender wasn't enough to hold my attention back when I was a kid for some reason and I learned last night that this hasn't changed now that I'm grown.

I do not know why I'm not feeling it, because I do enjoy Geometry Wars style games, level and boss based shooters, Joust and Balloon Fight type games. I think it may boil down to saving the people feels like an escort mission.

Just beat the first level and damn, this game is fun. I don't get how to rescue humans, though.

You need to kill "keepers" (aka marked enemies) to set humans free from their boxes. Then you pick up the human and take them to one of the two recovery things you see on the top of the plane.

Protip: Certain Keepers need to be killed in order or you will kill the human.

Read my post above!

Then you just fly over the human, and bring him to those green floating things. You'll see the green arrows in the sky pointing upwards.

Can you estimate how many times this has been downloaded? Anyone know what the last player position on the leaderboards is?

Curious about how many downloads it has considering that PS+ sales are skyrocketed

Cool, thanks! How are the keepers marked?

Sorry for the noob question but where are the keepers? I have no idea what I'm supposed to be shooting to save the humans from their cells.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Read my post above for more in depth info, but they are glowing green. If you can't see them right away, I just boost around the map until I find them. I'm fairly sure they have set spawn points everytime. So eventually, you'll just remember where they spawn after trial and error.

Oh man.

Oh. Man.

This game has the "one more try" factor. It is so much to play and I typically hated shooters growing up.

This is the Geometry Wars of the PS4 launch.

Any consensus on the best ship to use? I think I like Nemesis the best for its speed, boost and homing lasers, which makes it easier to maintain multipliers, but it seems that Overdrive is a good, if not essential way to accumulate points.
