There comes a point in some people's life when it's obvious that you know it's known they aren't good at what they do for a living. If he really gave crackdown a10, that should of been his moment. Companies should not bothering sending review copies to people like this, managers should not keep people employed that are that bad. Any other field your pushed to improved and if that doesn't happen you're let go.
 
Man you cant really expect better reviews for a game like this. I was really expecting the difficulty and Rouguelike elemants to put the more mainstream reviewers off.
Very good, and i hope it comes to PC as this kind of game is very popular on PC.

This is one of those games with the leaderboard aspect that I totally can see on steam with people doing speed runs. Plus with the aiming you wonder if mouse keyboard makes it even better?

hey insane guy - i'm on record recently with the previews that it looked more interesting. The pr at that time of my comment was not good. The game looked dire to be honest and I stand by that from what we had seen so far.

Why the fuck would I be unhappy a game i thought looked bad turned out to be good? Very strange, sad behaviour from yourself.
Looking forward to checking returnal out.

I didn't make the game, I lose nothing from it. His description of why, from what other people have said seems heavily biased against.

I simply do not trust his review process at all.

Great reviews. I'm happy for Housemarque and feel like I would enjoy the game.
But I'm not happy with Sony's decision to price it at 70$.

I will wait for a good discount or when it comes to Plus.

With the reviews I've read/watched (or more like listened when it comes to the latter) so far, it seems aiming is not so crucial, but movement is. And maybe it's just me not having a proper gaming PC for over a decade now, but I much prefer the precision of an analogue stick as opposed to WASD when it comes to movement.

It's a good candidate for a PC port down the line, but at the same time it's the type of game that really needs 60 fps and therefore it needs to be properly optimized for a wide range of specs and not just high end. I wonder who Sony could hire to handle the PC port?

It is interesting that the other forum do a mass campaign to IGN not hire NX Gamer that do a good job but accept Jeff Grubb do his marketing just fine.

He's not writing a letter to gamgam though, he's a professional reviewer who has social media influence. It's his opinion to say the game is shit and it's anyone else's opinion or right to say his opinion is shit.
 
From some of the stuff Im seeing and reading It looks like this will pop up on quite a few GOTY lists. Absolutely amazing from Housemarq here. So happy for them!.
 
Only down side it seems is too long playthrough with no save

This is a AA game, with a AAA price tag?
 
Just around 13 hours until the game digitally unlocks for me. I was excited regardless of the reviews, but I'm glad to hear most of the reviews have a positive impression overall. Finally another current gen title!

It blows my mind how people can literally give attention to whatever random new internet guy appears, it's like people always need their new random dude to listen to and then take whatever trash he speak as a fact, if it's not Jason it's Jeff, if it's not jeff it's another random people and cie.
 
86 on Meta, quiet a very good score, and many enthusiastic reviewers. I'm happy with this, basicly what I was expecting.
 
Fantastic score for returnal, a fresh new creative ip by PlayStation, again, puts those concerns of a few weeks ago to the trash can where they belong. Can't wait to play this tomorrow.
People need to stop quoting and give Jeff grubb any air time, he's been on his pro Xbox & anti Sony tirade ever since he mentioned that variable clocks could potentially affect ps5 performance and Sony immediately cut off his sources. You'll notice since he mentioned that in summer, he's not been mentioning any Sony inside info, cause he ain't got anymore. He'll give rachet a 4/5 probably to seem like he is impartial, but don't pay him or any of his videos any attention, that's what he thrives off.

You dont need high end system on PC though. My 'mid range' PC could run this at 1080p/60 with probably higher settings than PS5. If you wanted to match resolution with PS5 then yeah you would need a good PC.

The play is always the same. Wait for sales, reject fomo. When you don't have money, you have time. Thankfully the market is very competitive on Playstation, so I think there's no risk of this sliding into a Nintendo situation where old dated games keep their prices up because there's nothing else to choose from.

I'm just saying that framerate is very important for this game and it needs to be properly optimized. But if you want to turn this into a "my mid range PC is better than your PS5", then go ahead. Jesus.

I was thinking mid 8s seems to be on track. After seeing the progression system in the op, looks like it's exactly what I was afraid it would be for me. Sounds like a brutal one, cheers for fans of hard games.

Yeah you got me wrong there, i wasnt saying that at all. I'm just saying thats the beauty of PC, being able to change settings and resolution to play a game.
 
Returnal is a pretty damn bold combination of niche genres you wouldn't normally expect from a platform holder.

A third-person, AAA, rogue-like, bullet hell with a psychological horror sci-fi story? This is the type of shit Sony should be investing in. We have enough open world action-adventure IPs to last a lifetime.

I tought it looked like it was going to be shit, there`s no reasoning behind it. People dont have to study and get a phd on certain theme just to get an impression, for gods sake.
 
I must admit that I doubted this game since the fist time it was shown, it seemed to me very mediocre and I thought at best it would get a 7. But I am very happy that I was wrong about it and it seems great now.

This aspect actually make more excited about the game actually, i hope Housemarque won't add easy mode for those stoners. If you want EZ shooters games go play gears of war or whatever. Let Returnal be what it is. That's the game House wanted to make and that's it.

This actually confirmed more that this Jeff is a pure Fraud.
