When you hold it, you know you're holding the same exact Cup Wayne Gretzky, Bobby Orr, Maurice Richard, and a lot of other greats.
People are encouraged to touch it, the players have damaged it, and all sorts of stuff has happened to it in general, but no one has considered locking it away because it's something to be shared and experienced by everyone.
