I'm truly surprised more developers aren't working with Sony to implement this. You could easily see what your friends were doing in RB2 on 360.navanman said:Can PS3 also get XMB presence data like 360 version. Its memory overhead is tiny and its a great feature for other people on your friends list to see what you are doing in Rock Band 3.

Hoping it can come in the form of a patch. Infinity Ward was able to work with them on a patch including it in MW2.
Sure it's coming out in march but when the mustang is no longer supported in a future rockband game at least with the squier you still have a real guitar to jam withAspiring said:I was going to cancel my Mustang order for the Squier as its a good price. But damn you Americans and your strange date system :lol I thought it was the 3rd of January until i clicked the link and realised it was the 1st of March!
I would love it but im not waiting that bloody long! So i will stick to the Mustang for which people think is great anyway, and really i dont need it as i have a better guitar anyway.
Singstar added this feature through a patch as well. I was asking for this on the Rock Band forums since the RB2 patch was announced. And from what someone told me its such an easy thing to do. I hate the fact that they dont have it. As i said there are people everywhere who want it but HMX for some reason still have not one it.
Najaf said:As I posted earlier in the thread, I've been out of the Rock Band scene since the first. I just sprang for the keyboard bundle and the clerk gave me a manual/code from a traded in copy of RB2 (one can hope it wasn't used yet, right?). So, is Lego RB worth a pickup to export its songs? Obviously I can see the track list, but how fun are they to play/drum? Thoughts?
butter_stick said:Lego Rock Band is trash outside Ghostbusters. It's worth the export fee for Ghostbusters, but not worth the cost of the game and the export fee.

I am with you until I saw Good Charlotte. Perhaps my irrational hatred of that song came from it being on the music feed at work every fucking day for months.FlightOfHeaven said:Uhh, right.
Well, here's the link to the full setlist.
Personally, I like quite a few songs there. I have to play them all, because there are quite a few songs I have not heard of, but I like
Ghostbusters - Ray Parker Jr.
Girls & Boys - Good Charlotte
I Want You Back - Jackson 5
Let's Dance - David Bowie
Song 2 - Blur
The Final Countdown - Europe
We Are The Champions - Queen
We Will Rock You - Queen
Considering you can get LRB for $15, or $5 with Amazon's $10 videogame credit, it's not a bad deal at all.

How much does a real Squier cost?
I mean, is the Rock Band Squier overpriced in any way related to a regular Squier?
Fire completely negates your opinion.butter_stick said:Lego Rock Band is trash outside Ghostbusters. It's worth the export fee for Ghostbusters, but not worth the cost of the game and the export fee.
Shaneus said:Can anyone tell me why there's only one Bloc Party song in either of the GH/RB games *at all*? I honestly think that they'd be perfectly suited to these games (especially the drum lines and now, keyboards) but the only song I can find of theirs is Helicopter in GH3. Very sad.

Harmonix said the Squier was being based a on $250 body. So basically $30 on top of that for the added buttons and built in tech on the neck.FerranMG said:Wow, 280 $ for the Squier + 40 $ for the MIDI adapter is fucking insane.

The content's already exported to your HDD, shouldn't it be showing up in RB3 already? I can't check because I'm having a horrible experience with an online retailer getting my order. >=(Flynn said:Anybody know how to get a new transfer code for Lego Rock Band? I used my code once moving it to RB2.
Aspiring said:There is a million bands that should be in this but are still yet to have a single song. I mean really where the fuck is New Found Glory?
Yes. Once you have a disc export it stays on your hard drive unless you manually delete it. That goes for all exports (RB1, Lego, AC/DC, Green Day, Track Packs, etc.)grap3fruitman said:The content's already exported to your HDD, shouldn't it be showing up in RB3 already? Of course those prices are all MSRP, so it could very well be cheaper at certain retailers on release, depending on what exactly its availability is. For example, I think that 250 MSRP body is going for about 230 on the major shopping sites, at least as near as I can tell.

What are some good songs to practice pro keys? I'm having some trouble because I can't find a rhythm with the lower tier songs where you only play keys in short bursts. But some of the other songs are too complex/chord-y for someone starting out. I keep going back to guitar or drums since I get bored waiting for the keys parts to come up. :lol So in the end I never get better at keys. :/
And in the case of Lego, Green Day, AC/DC (well, every game but RB1), even if you delete them, you can just go to your download history and download the pack again.Yeef said:Yes. That's a drum roll. It's supposed to make it easier to keep your multiplier because you don't have to hit every note exactly. I'm not really sure what determines if you fail or pass the roll though. I usually try to hit the start and end notes perfectly, and try to keep the correct roll speed throughout the middle, erring on the side of being too fast. Hard to get used to them since they're not that common in songs and they don't have a training mode for regular instruments anymore. :/SumGamer said:Sorry for not going through this massive thread.
What is the thing that link notes together?
I was playing drum on one song then there is this circular shape wrap around several notes.
What is it and what's it for?
It's basically a looser timing window for things that are more spastic when performed. I believe the deal is you can over hit, as long as you hit all the notes in the section, and not lose combo.SumGamer said:Sorry for not going through this massive thread.

Break On Through is very manageable on pro keys, but requires you to learn some sections. It's a great song to try to master. Other good ones are things like In The Meantime (not many chords), Something Bigger Something Brighter, Imagine and the Smiths/Cure songs (though they do sugar from long sections of nothing).Hige said:"Linking is coming very soon!"
