I'm considering doing this as well, but I have RB1 drums and they won't work for RB4. If I knew when/if/how much a RB4 drum set would be that might make it easier, but as it stands I'll probably keep the band-in-a-box and get the legacy adapter for my guitars. So I cancelled my band-in-a-box pre-order and am going with all of my old instruments with the digital pre-order on Xbox.
You can cherry pick the Blitz songs you want as DLC anyway.
I have no access to an XBOX360 anymore. If I were to buy Blitz via PC Market should I be able to download the songs when RB4 launches via XB1?
Or is this not known yet?
Basically, they will look at your purchase history to see which DLC you actually own. So if you purchase it on PC, Xbox, or whatever, you should be fine to redownload it on XB1. (Assuming that song is available.)
EDIT: Though I can't exactly remember if you had to boot up Blitz to do the export or not...
Okay, thank you for the info.Since the reveal of the controller adapter, literally nothing else has been revealed about the game other than DLC.
I really hope that they get the classic DLC up the week before game comes up. I'd quite like to actually have time to download stuff before the game is released, rather than having to wait for the game's release and then not being able to make the most of my songs in career mode for ages.
That said, I have to deal with SCEE. Meaning that only 50 of the ~1500 songs will come up, and a third of them will cost money even when owning the PS3 version. That's the amount of faith they have given me in this. I don't even think that the digital pre order is up yet, if it ever will be.
Now I am having traumatic flashbacks to the old RB threads with people begging for Paramore all the time. Thanks.
Any deals on band in a box? I may skip finding an old drum kit and just go that route, then pick up an adapter for my old guitars. I won't be getting the game til late November unless I find a good deal.
Babymetal has been advertising this game on their facebook page, which is awesome! However, there are confused commenters thinking their track is xbox one exclusive.
Do you have to use the bottom buttons for the freestyle solos or can you use the top ones?
If only the bottom, does the slider on GH5 guitars work to emulate buttons?
I wish they would just clear that up already. It's not as much of an issue as I'm going X1 to begin with, but it is not fair to people who don't know what version to get now.
I want to play that track asap too, so if I have to wait a month until it becomes available to general public then I'm not too happy about that either.
If you pre-order it you get the tracks for free. If you don't, you can buy them, regardless of what platform you're on.
Thanks a lot.
Are they timed exclusive in any way at all?
Muse has become some sort of running joke about Rock Band. I'm a big fan and I'd love to see more of their stuff, bit their fanbase is just absurd.I didn't ever really see that with Paramore
fucking Muse though. Those people are the worst
The more i Look at the RBN listing the more I think I might have downloaded a majority of my DLC there instead of the "official" releases
which is a bit bothersome so hopefully they can get the network stuff in
No.
I hope saying that makes people less angry about it.![]()

Low notes are on the big (top) buttons; high notes are on the smaller (lower) buttons. You can ignore the game cues (Blue = top, Orange = bottom) and do anything you want, but the score gameplay requires you use the bottom ones (to not break streaks, get points, etc.).
Great question re the GH5 slider; I'm not actually sure. I will try to found out!
Do you know what time the Rock Band 4 XBox One digital copy will actually unlock and be ready to play? Typically it says on the game page on the XBox online marketplace what time the game will unlock but it doesn't mention it for this game. Some games unlock at 12AM EST while others unlock at 12AM PST. Hopefully this one will be 12AM EST because that's where Harmonix is based right? My plans the night/morning of Tuesday October 6th depend on this answer. Thanks!
Is there any way to get the band in a box, but get the game digitally? I know this is going to be played for a long time and don't really want to have keep switching in and out disks.

There have been a fair amount of Spanish songs, a few German songs, and two Japanese songs (on RBN).Rock Band 4 |OT| See You Online
sorry
Hoping that the recent Babymetal news opens up the gates for more songs with non-English vocals.
Harmonix has said that there will be server issues for the upcoming weeks due to changes for Rock Band 4. You can always buy songs via the xbox.com website. Is anyone else having issues connecting to the RB Store on 360? I was going to buy some Dlc.
Has there been any word on streaming RB4? Will the licensed music block us from streaming or will it just mean the archives may be pulled down?

It would be really awesome if they had a standalone store again but this time it had a "recover purchased content" button. That would be the bestOoooooh yes. Even if delisted songs and RBN songs don't make it over, I'll have over a thousand DLC and export songs to download. Hopefully my Xbone can handle it all.

I'm just, not looking forward to going through the xbox marketplace and re-downloading it all, that is going to be a pain. I have at least 800 official dlc. Not including the exports.
I'm preparing myself to set aside an afternoon.
I didn't ever really see that with Paramore

sweet jesus. I've always considered myself a superfan, but you guys were already there ;-;

bro that's not an afternoon that's a week. goddam
also I'm so sad there's not been a way to export the beatles songs. sigh.
Will there be any way for me to get Hysteria from RB1 into this new one?
Love that song and iirc it's the only Muse track in the RB series. Not DLC though I think.

Played Hysteria in RB4 at PAX, so it is transferable.
It is DLC. If you bought it, it should transfer.
It is DLC actually, not in any export in the US anyway.
Thanks guys that's sweet. Will definitely risk it for a dollar. Buying us xb1 disc, will buy the AUS dlc
