Maybe if we bitch we can get more RHCP?

The reason Soul to Squeeze is a B-Side is because it was on the Coneheads soundtrack. I guess it'll pop up in the weeks to come. Maybe the 20 song pack?

One of the NIN songs was from a movie soundtrack.

Wooo.

My repaired 360 is sitting in front of my apartment. Rock Band 2 is sitting in my bag.

What can I expect in three hours?

A slightly updated version of a game we all own already, and you'll still love every second of it

A couple of them were actually.

5 best songs and 5 best for Rock Band will be two different lists...

Personally, if I were only to get 5, it'd be:
Under the Bridge (for popularity/familiarity)
The Greeting Song (for challenge, most likely)
Breaking the Girl (for vocals, great bass line, but mostly strumming guitar...a nice change of pace)
Mellowship Slinky in B Major (without a doubt, one of the most interesting progressions on the album)
Suck My Kiss (one of the most straight-forward tracks on the album, nice parallel guitar and bass lines)

alternate:
I Could Have Lied (slow, mellow, some awesome melodic solo work, same with the vocal lines)

Sir Psycho Sexy is a cool track, but it's 8 minutes of a very slow repetitive jam. Awesome for musicians, potentially mind-numbing for gamers.

I added the youtube links for convenience....also, for the record, I'll be getting the whole album, not just these tracks.

edit...huh, thought I hit edit originally...still, I should thank the nutcase that put up RHCP's entire discography on youtube with the lyrics....

Even "Kids in America" on the RB2 disc is from the Clueless soundtrack.

Which doesn't have any album art in quick play by the way. And I remember seeing it in previews too. Strange.

Probably some random legal issue.

A stolen 360?

Sitting in front of your apartment? Like literally outside? >_>

I think for this DLC i'll grab Under The Bridge and Suck My Kiss definately. May give the others a go too.

Yeah, but the only one I found really amusing so far is photos of all your band members pinned up in a high-school girl's locker.
Yeah I like that one,
the lunch box, and the one with a random band member in the back of a police squad car.

Sometimes I worry there is a loading time for those stupid scenes.

It's funny when one of your band member's faces don't load properly and you think they're wearing black face paint.

For me, the coolest one by far is the shot of your band on a green line trolley (one of the trains here in Boston).

Anyway, not interested in next week's DLC at all. RHCP are pretty much the most annoying band on the planet to me. To be fair, though, their old stuff is a lot more tolerable, at least.

I never realized how much better I am with hyperspeed.

I've managed to 5 star the Metallica DLC pack, Master Exploder, and Timmy & the Lords of the Underworld on guitar. I could barely 4 star these before (with the exception of And Justice For All which was an easy 5 star).

I gold starred Ace of Spades and Let There Be Rock and a bunch of other songs I don't remember.

Because my Dad likes to do very big strums. The Xplorer doesn't tend to like that as much.

Besides, the strap coming off midsong on my Strat is preferable to the neck of a Les Paul coming off.

...and it's a Fender Strat.

p.s. pork and beans please

Why would he use the easily-broken Les Paul when he can use a superior Xploder?

Because that controller has a shitty strum bar and frets, and the whammy will always break. Les Pauls may be a little... problematic for some people, but it's nothing paper down the neck won't solve most the time, at least for me.

Amusix, thanks for compiling the youtube links. :)

Also, the reason the Xplorer is shitty is because the fret buttons and neck feel terrible to press and hold. And the strum bar is crap for alt-strumming. It's excellent for down-strumming, but that's it.

Down strummer and proud, yo.

I also only use the two same fingers on the frets, and a third only when I have to for 3 note chords.

Man, just got my space bucks from the Amazon sale and went crazy. Downloaded 28 songs for Rock Band just now. Can't wait to do a mystery setlist and be surprised.
