The siren was the best part, haters.

Well, that and the AT-AT shot. Gack damn.

Wonder what her endgame is here. Seems to me that running towards an AT-AT on an open, flat field is the exact opposite of what you want to be doing. Maybe they want to plant bombs on it's legs or something.

Damn.

That Imperial commander looks so good, I love that cape. Its not Tarkin, right?

This shit is too surreal. I'm finding it harder to process than the first TFA teasers.

Feels so weird seeing OT-era Star Wars recreated in live action in 2016. It's giving me some uncanny valley-esque reaction I'm not entirely sure I like.

Seeing Mon Mothma again is fucking cool, though.

It's been said, but for all my qualms about Edwards, he really knows how to convey scale. This and the star destroyer / death star shots confirm he's going to nail that aspect of the film. Even more so than Empire, we'll see the crushing might of the Empire stomping over the Rebels. Looks fantastic.

Still worried about other aspects of the film, but if nothing else the visuals are on point.

Okay so, you guys posting better quality images... I'm definitely warming up to it more. The teaser itself didn't do much for me, but Edwards is good, the aesthetic seems good, and these stills look better than the trailer I watched. I still think the characters/line deliveries in the teaser are a little off, but in hindsight that can be normal.

I expect to be mindblown when the second teaser or trailer hits. The TFA teaser didn't really have much to it either, in fact it had much less.

I don't watch Rebels. Heard it's good.

The season 2 finale is some of the best Star Wars I have ever seen, there's a scene in it which is easily in my all-time top 5 SW scenes. It's essential if you are a fan of SW.

What weirds me out is that John Williams included the Vader theme just before Luke turns around and takes the hood off. It's weird, like, what the fuck is the music trying to say?

It isn't exact, but it's a variation of the Imperial/Vader theme.

I dont know what youre talking about. I just listed to it again and I still dont know what youre talking about.

Thanks man. That's all it took for me to watch the series. I'll check it out! :)

It's right around a minute in. It shares a similar structure to the Imperial/Vader theme. If you can't hear it you can't hear it, but it is there. Again if you imagine the Vader theme along with that section, at the tempo the actual track is going, you can hear it. It's like you could "slide" the Vader theme right into it and John doesn't do these things coincidentally.

The measure begins specifically around 58 seconds and ends around 1:05.

It is sooooo strange and bizzare for Star Wars to have come back this soon (this and The Force Awakens). Damn. I only wish this could have happened when I was a little kid ten years ago. The hype is real. Felicity is bae.

More hyped for this than TFA, to be honest. This looks like it might be a more interesting story than the usual chosen one / Force shenanigans. LOVE that Star Destroyer eclipsed by the Death Star dish. The Empire can get ALL the channels on that thing.

Looks like my job is done :D

It does take a while to get going, and there is the odd filler episode, but it's a quality show. It will also have quite a lot of links to the new timeline.

So far right is from ROTJ and center is from Rogue One...who is the actress on the left and what is that from?

That is from Revenge of the Sith, and her name is Genevieve O Rielly. FYI she is the one on the left AND the middle :)
