funny how his knee didn't seem to be an issue until he played federer. did he have knee issues the other 4 times they played and federer won?

I just checked the footage and can confirm that he indeed did have knees in their previous matches.

Gonzalez has shown the cojones in this match. Damn he's looking hot, this match has prepared him well for the finals. Looks like he's going through, Soderling is looking lost out there.

Fuck Soderling, and fuck the french for rooting against every single latin player in the tournament. WTF is their problem?

GODDAM... Soderling is playing fearless tennis!

Federer/Del Potro can both look forward to a beating. Soderling can easily go all the way.

Soderling is a powerhouse and I could easily see him beat Federer, especially if he isn't playing up to his usual standards.

God damn I thought he was done for sure when Gonzales broke him, but holy shit he showed heart! Superb match!

(Even if it's just a fluke, I want to say it) Swedish tennis is back:D. A finalist in the junior tournament as well.

It's also great that that cry baby gonzales didn't make it to the final. My god, he was like a mini-mcenroe.

Looking at the atp rankings, Nadal already dropped 1800+ points here, he will drop 450 from Queens and 800 from the olympics.

If Roger wins here and in Wimbledon (+600 for Roger, -600 for Nadal in case both reach the final) he will regain the #1 on August 11th.

Go Roger !

Gonzolez taking Soderling to 5 sets is the best thing that could have happened to Fed.

If he wins his semi-finals match relatively easily and can take the first set against Soderling I can see him having fresher legs as the match goes on (huge in the French Open) and taking it in 4 or 5 sets even if Soderling continues to play at that high level.

Nerves might also be a big factor (for both players, assuming Fed makes it to the Finals).

I dunno... I don't see Fed losing to anyone that's not Nadal/Djoko in a Slam i just don't. Soderling has a chance clearly, he's playing awesome.
I haven't seen Del Potro play so i don't know how he comes.

I think it's the best Del Potro tournament so far in his (short) career.

If Fed wins semi's then I'm going to say he is going to win the tournament. Fed knows this is the best shot he has at winning this thing this year.

Well, being serious, I think this will be a tough match, Federer will lose one or two sets.

0-40 for Del Potro, watch out !

All the pressure is on Federer. Del Potro can play loosey goosey and it'll pay off.
That has been true of everyone Fed has played (other than Nadal) in the last 5 years. Didn't help most of the other players either. It is very difficult to be number for as long of a period as Fed was.
