Bad DF for Delpo, wow at breakpoint? Either his legs or nearly gone or he got nervous. I guess training in 115 degree heat in Dubai helps Fed's conditioning because he rarely looks tired.

How is it easier to pass a tall guy at the net?

I meant that Del Potro was struggling to even get to the drop shots. Makes for an easier pass.

And I thought the match was over after Fed was up a break. Del Potro breaks back and then it broken again by a DF? What happened to his serve?

Fed is 80% for his first serve, DPs at 50% (iirc) in the 5th...

del potro's even lower. around 46%, i thought.

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I saw the number 5 minutes ago, and I've already forgot it. So that's probably right :lol

woah, nice return!

edit: another double! Fedbot upgrade with mind control?

edit2: holy shit another great return! Match point!

Who do you root for come Sunday? Home country hero, or Fed's last(?) clear chance for the career slam? :/

edit: Eh, Söderling I guess, but I won't be sad to see Fed get the win

Do people remember Richard Krajicek winning the 1996 Wimbledon, or Sampras winning 7 Wimbledon titles?

There is your answer. Support History. Support Federer. :D

Root for Fedgod, damnit!

If it were Roddick or any other American going against Fed, I'd still root for him. I love seeing great players like him dominate in individual sports, which is why I also love TiGod Woods. I guess I just like historic stuff :D

Good for Federer. The only time I'd say that Del Potro choked was in the tie break. Other than that, Fed was in total control of the 4th and 5th set. Del Potro just couldn't keep up.

From what I've seen, Soderling has been the better player of the tournament so far. Gonna be an interesting final. Soderling's form is scary.

The only way Federer loses is if he just buckles under the pressure of becoming the GOAT. The thing is, unlike Del Potro, Soderling doesn't really have anything he can hurt Federer with. He'll have to play basically a perfect match, take tons of risks and convert on most of them. Not going to happen.

From the way both of them of been playing, Soderling seems to have much better form and power. Personally, I think Fed should make Soderling run like mad in the first few sets to tire him out and then finish him off in the 4th-5th

It's a dangerous thing to say, though, "doesn't have anything he can hurt Federer with". Why would he hurt Nadal so severely? And del Potro has never had much to hurt Federer with, but he's upped his game. Söderling`s game has been on a constant high this whole chship, anything can happen.

True, anything can happen, but I just don't see a guy going from never winning a match against someone to beating them in the Final of a Grand Slam. The gap can't possibly close that quickly, and not on this stage.
