14 GS titles and 28 years old. Do the math. Also 23-10 against Federer, 9-2 at GS tournaments.

Best Clay tennis player.

Sampras would kick this guy's ass on a decently fast grass court in his prime 100%. No way Nadal deals with that serve on a fast courts. No way in heck.

Whoa, no need to be so antagonistic :) sorry I said anything, but it's a point that gets belabored for all players.

I would agree that Djokovic was the only one who had a chance to beat him in this tournament.
Wait, how am I being antagonist when you antagonized me? Doesn't even make sense.

Anyway, whatever.

And what's your point exactly? Grass is Sampras's best surface. I have no clue why we're treating clay like it's some anomaly, meanwhile grass is perfectly acceptable. It's ridiculous.

Funny how all these people talking Nadal up when last I checked Wimbledon is the most prestigious tournie with the US Open following.

Until Nadal matches that grass court wins level of Fed or Sampras debate stays well open.

My point is people already starting to call him the greatest of everything out there. It's ridiculous. 9 of his 14 are on Clay. He is definitely up there although arguments could be made for a roided out Borg giving him a lot of trouble on clay.

Fed had no legitimate competition for many years racking up the grand slams. Nadal had to play against both Fed and also Djoko.

Yeah so I don't think it's fair to just say OMG 17>14.

It's not as though he could control that.

It's preposterous to hold Federer accountable because he happened to be godlike during an overall dearth in men's tennis talent.

Henin was an incredible player, it is a shame that her career has been marred by the hand raising incidence, and the AO retirement.

Congrats to Rafa.

Amazing accomplishment.

I can't imagine anyone ever matching 9 French Opens. And he won this one past his prime. I did not think that was possible on such a tough surface.

Djoker may never win the French. Better luck next year.

Damn! I was completely unaware of this. I mean, I remembered Lisicki beating Maria two years ago and Serena last year, but the others? I guess Maria better hope Lisicki is on the opposite half of the draw from her this year, then :)
