You have officially been to your last Con in which blue people, spoken Navi and the word "hometree" were absent.

And there have been a lot of rumours. Rumours that the budget was double the stated amount, more like $500m. Rumours that the 3D effects were making people nauseous. Rumours that the film, two hours and 40 minutes long, was a complete car crash.
The Guardian can reveal that the last two are untrue. The film does not make you feel sick and it is not a disaster. All journalists watching the movie in Fox's Soho headquarters had to sign a form agreeing not to publish a review or even express a professional opinion online or in print before Monday.
So by saying Avatar was really much, much better than expected, that it looked amazing and that the story was gripping if cheesy in many places the Guardian is in technical breach of the agreement. It is not a breach, however, to report that other journalists leaving the screening were also positive: the terrible film that some had been anticipating had not materialised. It was good.
There is, though, a certain amount of suspension of disbelief needed when watching Avatar. Cynics might sneer at the plot.
If it does well and there seems little doubt that it will not then can we expect more? "We'll see," said Cameron. "But yes, I have a story worked out for a second film and a third film."

Oh, and if I hear one more "Dances with Wolves" joke I'm gonna throw up in my mouth. Has no one seen DUNE? Because this was DUNE. Inagoodway

What I'll tell you is to think hard: how do you want to REMEMBER first seeing it?
@petershall: "The AVATAR buzz is an understatement. That movie was unbelievable."
@dmann11: "Holy effing crap!!! Avatar was FREAKING AWESOME KICK ASS SWEET!!!!!"
@TheGate: "For the record 'Avatar' was worth the $400 million, and no it is not even remotely "vomit inducing".
@gholson: "Specacular. A visual feast and the new benchmark in cinematic world building."
@chasewhale: "Just finished AVATAR. Special effects were top notch. The movie ran a little long for my likings but I liked it!"
@comingsoonnet" "Okay, about Avatar?.... WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW! Unbelievable... amazing."
@MikePereira21: Was blown away by Avatar! For 150 minutes, I was a kid again. Thank you James Cameron! BTW, the groundbreaking 3D was mindblowing."
@rejects: "I'm not supposed to talk about Avatar... That said, it was a spectacular experience. Like nothing I've seen before."

Oh my, nice impressions there from Massawyrm.
I don't have a 3D theatre around here, the next one would be 300km away. :'/Dabanton said:Can't believe some people are actually going to see this in 2d first.
But whatever floats your boat.
an astonishing sensory experience unlike anything I've seen on film. Holy fuck wow. - I wonder what that could be about... ahem

I'm not allowed to go into much detail. Yes, it's good. Some folks will attack it anyway. Some folks attacked TDK and LOTR.
"Avatar" is the most spectacular leap in CG and 3d since they were both invented. It's visually mesmerizing.

These twitters are making me even harder!

AVATAR buzz is good so far....hmm. Might have to eat my words from last night's show...
Moments away from AVATAR screening. Giant blue smurfs await
I have 3 predictions. 1)Avatar becomes big blue hit. Much moolah. 2)Oscars reward success with much shiny men. 3)Crappy knock offs ensue
