Hahaha.
Batman on the Quest 3 was absolutely incredible. Only problem I had is that it ended!
Hell yeah brother, cheers from Iraq.
Your glowing impressions around launch last year struck a chord with me and I share every bit of your enthusiasm after playing it.
Crazy about 95% of this forum won't even click on this thread(even batman fans) and have no idea what they're missing because "VR bad" supposedly.
Indeed. I'd wager only a very tiny percentage even on GAF have played it which is a shame. It got snubbed from the '24 GOTY discussion big-time. Although I feel for those who want to play but get motion sickness and aren't ever able to find their "VR legs" so to speak. I think the game does an admirable job at mitigating the issue though, with the click turn option and various clever visual settings.
Conversation around the game has died down. But I'll gladly inform folks reading this thread that Arkham Shadow is the real deal. It's not some shitty Batman: Arkham VR-style spinoff like I stupidly initially thought it was for some reason when it was first announced, in spite of the Arkham namesake.
It's essentially Arkham Asylum in VR, arguably better.
A near flawless execution at translating the classic Arkham gameplay into VR. You really have to play it to believe it.
Arkham Shadow's story is awesome and less predictable than the other entries. The voice acting is superb; the venerable Martin Jarvis' Alfred returns and is as charming and witty as ever, and Roger Craig Smith's Batman performance is passionate and filled with rage. Conroy would be proud. (RIP, legend)
The Arkhamverse is ripe with potential for many more stories and games featuring this younger, pre-Asylum Batman that we were first introduced to in Origins.
Wish I could personally thank the team at Camouflaj, for knocking it out of the park and proving there's still plenty of life in the series, even after Rocksteady's fall from grace.
Shadow is truly a game made by Arkham fans, for the fans. An absolute must-play.
