3. Remembers what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this1. is Kurt Russell
2. has not destroyed the world with his awesomeness despite having the ability to do so
That's what worries me.
There's a littler glimmer of hope that this movie turns out remotely tolerable (a glimmer that dims whenever something is said about this movie). But yeah, Marvel getting the rights back is the best case scenario at this point. Why would it? It just increases the f4 rights reverting back to Marvel right?
That's win win!
Does it have to be released before the rights revert to Marvel or does it merely have to be produced?
This is the best case for me, as I said before. That glimmer of hope keeps dimming, anyway.Despite what Neoxon says I still says it will tank and Fox will just let the rights revert.
Sorry for being lazy but thanks for replying. As you can read in this thread, "released" is quite a relative term. One theater in the middle of nowhete, one limited session, and it is released.
Marvel doesn't need FF or Spidey or Xmen at this point.
They need Doctor Doom at leastMarvel doesn't need FF or Spidey or Xmen at this point. They've got everything planned out through 2019. Let FF come out and flop. Eventually the "franchise" isn't worth the effort and they get the rights back or they just keep taking B level (and below) characters and making them have awesome movies.
I'll gladly trade a Marvel Studios FF movie for Black Panther and/or Captain Marvel, neither of which we would be seeing if they had the rights to their bigger guns.

There's still those talks involving Marvel & Sony for Spider-Man (& given Marvel's rumored plans to recast him young if they get the deal going, I can understand why). As for Fantastic Four, there's a ton of cosmic characters that are tied up with the F4 that Marvel needs (Galactus, Silver Surfer, full rights to the Skrulls, Annihilus, etc.). Not to mention the potential of a Doctor Doom done right.Marvel doesn't need FF or Spidey or Xmen at this point. They've got everything planned out through 2019. Let FF come out and flop. I saw a rumor, looked further into it myself, & thought it was worth a discussion (albeit making sure the part of it being a rumor was made clear). I don't see the problem.I still can't believe this thread was made.
This movie has hot garbage written all over it. I'm surprised you're even defending it.Oh wow this is some news.
I hope poor helpless Marvel can get their precious Fantastic Four back so the family can be reunited and then the stars will align and harmony and prosperity will reign upon our fair earth.

please elaborate on kurt russells accomplishments.
The production finishing part slipped my mind, & I do apologize for that. It's the sensationalism. There is nothing to indicate the movie may not come out because the director is wild. Especially a movie that finished production months ago.
MCU Fantastic Four will destroy souls due to its pure awesomeness.Oh wow this is some news.

Do people not click on the other link with the tweets? A guy from LR tweeted about it as did other people
Nah. Chronicle was pretty great. My only concern was Fox messing shit up, but that was alleviated because DoFP was the best comic movie last year.
New words to live by, I suppose. Here is a hint: If not even Latino Review will run the story, then the sources are really bottom barrel.
Sorry for being lazy but thanks for replying.
Hmm. Shit. Ah well, Marvel don't need these characters anyway.
No I am referring to people dismissing what happened as rumors and the deal is according to the source the damages were in the 100 k area. And to set pieces as well. Not one single person tweeted the film is in trouble of not ever coming out or that his career is over. Which is what the Title and OP states. Which is the over the top sensationalism that wasn't warranted or backed up by anything in the "sources".
All that is said is the director is wild and trashes his house. Which no one is questioning. But big time directors who do that are a dime a dozen and no one is going around claiming their already finished being filmed movies are in danger of never releasing.
Filming was in Louisiana.![]()
That's two in a row, Neoxon. I swear to Galactus, there must be some quota you're trying to fill.![]()

This isn't the MCU, so....yeah.Regardless, someone yesterday was yapping on about making new threads about new news. This is a thread based on the flimsiest of rumors. Isn't there supposed to be a MCU OT in Community where all this minor noise is supposed to go?

*giggles*.This makes Daily Mail look like a respectable news outlet.
It seems like every non-Marvel Studios IP is being met with this sort of shit. Same thing with Spiderman. Feels like fanboys think they can somehow will the rights back to Marvel with pure hate.
It was a rumor worth discussion, that's what I thought. And it isn't even news! Saying a director is wild based on bizarre non-sources that not even the likes of Latino Review will post and they post ANYTHING with a shred of credibility is just...bizarre. The topic is barely even worthy of a tweet.
If you have to rely on a kid posting a youtube video and a message board post as "sources" that should be a big red flag.
Amazing Spider-Man 2 only got Sony around $65 million before expenses (they spent a metric shit-ton on production & promotion). Why else are they talking with Marvel Studios. And it is never going to happen when X-Men: Days of Future Past and Amazing Spider-Man 2 are two of the highest grossing films of 2014. Marvel ain't getting the film rights to Spider-Man and X-Men back. Fantastic Four is a question, but Fox can hold a grudge for a damn long time and if the only requirement that Fox needs is for occasional Fantastic Four films to air once in the middle of Nowhere, Kansas, they'll do it.
