[Rumor] FromSoftware Spent More Time On The Duskbloods’ Gameplay Than Any Other Title, and It Will Be the Most Innovative

If it was another dev, no. But FromSoftware has the magic ability to make games run like shit on any hardware, and the weaker the hardware the worst it is with them.
Dont worry it will PLAY great. Its More like and 2nd Party Game. Its made with the Hardware in mind.

We know this game has a multiplayer "focus". No, all Fromsoft games do not have that focus. In the past, From have incorporated coop and online aspects into single player focused games. If Duskbloods has the exact same online components as past Fromsoft games then you might have a point, but that's just not the case and you know it.

Most here are explicitly pointing to the multiplayer focus of the game so you can guys can gaslight each other into this "Nintendo hate" narrative all you want, but I'm just not going to ignore what people are actually saying.

Hades 2 being on fewer platforms means the game gets less attention. Shocking. Were you under the impression Hades 2 was going to be a system seller or just more gaslighting?

Pretty easy for folks who don't like multiplayer to judge a multiplayer game as something they don't want to play.
Cool Cool. But Im going to enjoy my New exclusive Fromsoft Nintendo game.

But HATES 1 was an exclusive and won many awards.

HADES was perfect game for the switch.

Good that We Nintendo FANS DONT COMPLAIN about those things when we are ENJOYING the game.

So which one is it. IS EXCLUSIVE BAD or YOU HATE ITS A MULTIPLAYER?
I'm not overly sensitive to those things but even I could feel them while playing, especially the input lag.
Stop shouting please.

lol....you are deflecting. I'm not the one saying don't judge while saying it is going to be great at the same time. That's you.

Hades 2 is a GOTY nominee. HOW is it not getting attention?

You tell us. Here is the Hades 2 OT. You've got zero posts there. Why are you not giving this game attention?

So lets judge before experience.

Its the BAYO situation all over again.

People HATE that FROMSOFT is making AN NINTENDO EXCLUSIVE. be it single player or multiplayer. New IP.

And it might end up like Bayonetta 2 situation
Played by some ppl and forgot on Nintendo consoles for everyone ?

Cause, aside from Nintendo players no one cares about Bayo2/3 nowadays, not even baggers ask for this game on other plataforms.

Well... I am all for From changing up their formula. Ngl, I dropped Elden Ring at some point because it got boring, and the open-world played a huge part in that. But that's just my opinion.

Then I guess you answered your own question, now didn't you?
We already know what to expect from HADES 2 and also the first games HAD SOO MUCH ASS and BOOBS. i remember making WIFOOS and HASBANDOOS from the Gods and Goddess but not soo much this.

My hope is that this is simply a side project for them and that the next big thing from them is announced after Duskbloods is released.

I would have killed for a singleplayer vampire themed game from them.

I'm sure it'll be a great game. It wont be for me though. I'll keep focused on my insane backlog of single player games until their next SP game comes out.

MP focus is not equal to MP only,
Right. Thing is, the game is multiplayer only.
is obvious that the game has story elements and bosses that probably can be played alone with CPU driven companions or real players
The same interview you quote says that is a PVPVE session based game. That means you either play with other players or with CPU bots. But session based multiplayer games don't have the adventure progression components regular Soulslike have.
Something like Monster Hunter games but more story heavy.
If only!
Monster hunter can be played by oneself without any other players or bots filling up for them being a full singleplayer experience. Duskbloods needs a lonny to be filled with either players or bots to work, just like other session based MP games.

It sounds like even those who tend to shy away from PvP can still enjoy themselves.

Miyazaki:
That was the intention. I personally am not much of a PvP person, and I wanted to make something that's satisfying even for players like me.

While the goal of a match is to obtain First Blood, there are personal objectives that provide separate rewards to the player as well, so I hope these add to the fun of each engagement.
👆

Im assuming the bot part, but we don't know yet… Still, not an issue for me, i just want great boss battles and the Miyazaki games vibes.

Pretty sure you'll get that. Thing is, people who want a rich singleplayer experience focused on exploration and challenge won't get that from ANY pvp game and that includes the Duskbloods sadly.

I am not interested in a multiplayer game, but I wouldn't be surprised if this game ends up being one of the best ever made by From. They know that they won't be able to impress as much as Elden Ring did in terms of scope, so they will probably focus on the gameplay and that could be amazing. Let's hope that whatever is done will also serve later single players games.

Nintendo are dominating the japanese console market while Sony are floundering, this is why FromSoft are collaborating with Nintendo and other third party devs that were traditionally Playstation bound are now putting their big games on Switch 2 like Capcom or SE. How is it retarded?
The Office Thank You GIF

If it doesn't get delayed, GTA6 will be released next year so it's not like a big single player game isn't launching next year. There's room for both. I'm starting to think some people on gaf complain more about games than actually playing them lol. If it's not for you that's fine, but don't try to ruin it for people who do think it might be a good game.

You can play it offline and solo. It's a nice Risk of Rain alternative.
Is it fun actually playing Nightreign solo?

The thing I like about Elden Ring and most FROM's Souls series is take my time and explore but with Nightreign is all about rushing through levels to find weapons then fight the boss then your level will reset and you have do it all over again with another boss.....its basically roguelike mechanic which I really dont like.

Nintendo is funding the game.
Didn't they also fund W101? Granted, it was exclusive for the entirety of the generation, but still... Then there's Bayonetta, which is still exclusive 2 games (+1 spinoff in). It's hard to say for certain in this day and age, especially as (IIRC) from owns the IP, not Nintendo.

Either way I'm grabbing it on Switch 2. The only question is whether I'll be double-dipping on Steam one day.

EDIT: What if the offline version of the game with boths played like a rapid Nemesis system? It would be incredible to have AI characters reacting to you choices in a way that made sense and had a certain degree of memory.

They were the publishers, i don't remember reading that they paid for the development of the game. (Neither for Lego City)

I'm running purely off of fuzzy, decade-old memories here, but I could have sworn Nintendo funded W101 like Bayo because no one else would. At the very least, I remember speculation that Platinum had to buy Nintendo's stake back in order to publish on other platforms. I have no real evidence to offer though. *shrug*

Sony is basically a third party company at this point, for Sony makes a lot of sense, for Nintendo no. Bayonetta 2 and 3 are better examples.
If Nintendo own Duslboolds IP then sure if not then its no guarantee its going stay exclusives.....the reason game like Astral Chain stayed exclusive because actually owns the IP.

Sony other hand owns both Demons Souls and Bloodborne IP which they will stay exclusives. In fact FROM tried to make sequel to Demons Souls but Sony wouldn't let them release it to other platforms so they made Dark Souls.
