[Rumor] FromSoftware Spent More Time On The Duskbloods’ Gameplay Than Any Other Title, and It Will Be the Most Innovative

What do you think publishing is?!?
I am a writer, sometimes i write something and if i don't have money for self publishing i search for a publisher to paid for the impression, distribution and marketing and sometimes someone paid me to write something. Publisher doesn't equal to paid for the development.

Is it fun actually playing Nightreign solo?

The thing I like about Elden Ring and most FROM's Souls series is take my time and explore but with Nightreign is all about rushing through levels to find weapons then fight the boss then your level will reset and you have do it all over again with another boss.....its basically roguelike mechanic which I really dont like.
I don't think it's fun playing solo. Even when you've leveled up to 7-8 and found great weapons, the bosses are difficult. You die and you're done, unless you have a Wending Grace, which revives you at 50% hp and eventually regens you to 100%.

In gaming it does, even if only partially, 95% of the time.

FROM games are plodding, dreary, and depressing. There I said it.
We also have MANY other coloful RPGs out there, so what wrong for FROM making Dark fantasy RPGs?

I personally like and want both, if I'm in the mood for more coloful RPG I play Xenoblade and Dragon Quest and if I'm in the mood for dark RPGs I play FROM games.

If Nintendo own Duslboolds IP then sure if not then its no guarantee its going stay exclusives.....the reason game like Astral Chain stayed exclusive because actually owns the IP.

Sony other hand owns both Demons Souls and Bloodborne IP which they will stay exclusives. In fact FROM tried to make sequel to Demons Souls but Sony wouldn't let them release it to other platforms so they made Dark Souls.
From owns the IP, like Platinum owns the Bayonetta IP, but Nintendo funded 2 and 3… So is a Nintendo decision to launch those games on another consoles, but if Platinum makes Bayonetta 4 with their money they can go multi platform if they want.

The reason Boyonetta 2&3 was funded by Nintendo because Platinum tried bring to Sony and Microsoft but they refuse to funded.

"For AAA games, publishing contracts with no funding are effectively nonexistent. Funding is a core part of the deal, given the high costs and risks involved."

From my research only about 20% of indie games look for no-funding deals.
I am talking about the development, you are confused. Also, publishing cost a lot of money, so there is a risk involved and is an investment (funding).

Yeah bosses in that game were design around having multiple characters and if you dies is not you retry immediately.....you have to go all the way back do the run all over again which to me its not fun.

Kamiya said once in twitter that Bayonetta 2 exists is thanks to Nintendo… And the person that made the question was blocked after that 🤣.
Thats no secret, Platinum tried to bring Bayonetta 2 to other platforms but they refused while Nintendo was more than happy to help them out.

Once duos was released, I spent more time in Nightreign than I thought I would. I have a ton of issues with it from a randomization standpoint or lack thereof, but I also understand the design intentions behind that (preventing frustration). With the asset reuse, it does kind of feel like a prototype for something greater. I'm looking forward to see what they've learned and how that manifests itself in Duskbloods.

We've had this discussion once before. You would not like it because it requires you to learn the map over many deaths and plan out your runs to level up, acquire gear suited to that character and tackle not just the mid boss but the Nightlord bosses as well. After a few patches it's slightly easier. Given the more accessible revives.

It gets to a point where most of your runs tend to be the same because you go for very specific powerups. It's very Arcade-like. Much like Sekiro you have great mobility and no fall damage. Hard to ever return to DS Trilogy or ER because of that.

For exploring I'd stick with the pure SP games. Nightreign is very zoom zoom all the time. It's Risk of Nightreign. Very much a Action Roguelite centered around Relic farming.

Based on the little information we have Duskbloods is aiming to be an Online 8 Player PvPvE Battle Royale Extraction Game which as a S2 exclusive will push NSO subs. Tough sell.

Very sad.

Thats my point and that to me it just not fun....I have recently been replaying Dark Souls Remastered and just love the level design I love exploring, discovering shortcuts and finding rare treasure while overcoming obstacles.

But in Nightreign is all about just rushing to everthing as if you are doing a speed run and in the end of the fight you lose all your progression and have do it all over again on the next run.
