explanation on how the app naming works:

edit: the app first appeared around the year the game released. This might just mean that we now know the name of the app itself but that it appearing 3 years ago at first means there were plans for a PC version but maybe it was dropped.

Like Motoki said on the steam thread, the app hasn't been active since 2 years ago, so it seems likely that is a port in progress that got cancelled :(

I legitimately enjoyed the hell out of this game. I think it's one of Suda's better ones. One of the only games with an arcade score system that I actually played multiple times to try and get a higher score.

I'll buy it again for...hrm...15 dollars. Seems fair since I bought the OG full price.

I'm ok with this. Never had the time to buy it when it was on console, but was interested at the time.
Killer is dead seems to have done pretty well too!

oh no :(

It's a good game. Not a great game, has an issue with locking off way too many moves and abilities during the first stretch of game, but once you get a feel for how it plays it's satisfying, quirky fun. It's sassy, sexy, stupid, and self aware of all these things, and has a really fantastic soundtrack.

Being an Unreal Engine 3 game it would scale beautifully on PC, where the muddy texture filtering, excessive bloom, and abundance of aliasing could be solved for a much cleaner, sharper image quality.

I'd love to see Shadows of the Damned (which is a far better game) ported too, for similar reasons, but that's EA so it's never going to happen.

Or that. Damn.

I'd much prefer Shadows of the Damned (probably held back by EA) but I still loved this. The writing of the game was damn good and Juliet is such a good character. Performance improvements would be most welcome.

Also, ZED'S DEAD, BABY

The best Suda game IMO with the first No More Heroes. The characters and dialogue are just hilarious, the game is also pretty clever.

hopefully people being made aware of this maybe means we'll get an answer as to what's the real story here

It's easily the worst 'Suda' game I've ever played. Stay far away.
(And he had little to no involvement.)

The bad ending was legit amazing, I'll give it that.

I love this game. I know it's very rough around the edges, but that only adds to the B movie feel of it. It's one of the games I was hoping to be added to bc on the Xbox One, but this would be much better.

I'd definitely rebuy it if it did come out. Hopefully they'd put in all of the preorder DLC in one package. Unless you were buying codes off of people who preordered it from other stores. It was impossible to get all of the costumes.

I forgot that Shadows of the Damned was EA. Fuck this world that reminds of thing I'd rather forget.

You really feel James Gunn's presence throughout the game. There are really strong similarities with the licensed soundtrack of both Lollipop Chainsaw and GOTG and how they really compliment the mood.

You also really see Gunn's Troma roots with the material and tongue-in-cheek humor.

It is a rough around the edges, but the total package comes together so smoothly.

I will pick this up if it comes out. I hope the Ash Williams costume is part of it since I missed out on it. I think this is the ONLY game where a pre-order bonus stayed a pre-order bonus with all those costumes.

Of all the 'Suda 51' games(meaning games he really had little to do with), I'd put SotD on the top of the heap.

His story about the scenarios that EA cut made me sad.

They[EA] told us that 'westerners are about guns, so give him a gun', and the direction of the project turned 180 degrees. EA is a really macho company, and we argued with them as we developed it. Their demands were really strong. We ended up drafting the scenario five times before it was completed. In the end, each was so unique that it felt like I had basically written five different games.

In the very final(fifth) draft, it turned into a love story. EA informed us, "There's this thing called an 'elevator draft', and if you can't tell your story in the length of an elevator ride, Hollywood won't use it." All their stories fall into one of four categories.

LC was not spared, either.

There was a strong request from our publisher, Kadokawa Games, to include sexy female characters, so although we originally only had Vivienne and Mika, we started to add even more to the game. We added a "gigolo mission" in order to boost sales. As for the female character designs, Kadokawa's demands became very overwhelming, to the point that there wasn't room for my own ideas.

We had just finished an earlier project, Lollipop Chainsaw, and I really didn't want there to be this image of "Grasshopper = erotic". Lollipop's backstory wasn't supposed to be erotic at all, but it turned out that way because we added the shell bikini costume(among others)later in development.

However, that was done because the publisher, Kadokawa Games, had a solid idea of what sells, and that became a good learning experience. The development was hard, but in the end, we had fun making this game.

I quite like both Shadows of the Damned and Lollipop Chainsaw. I'd certainly go for a Steam version of LC but either way I'm set to revisit it on 360, been a while.

If only we could a game like this, but made by Troma with no censorship. That would be a dream come true.

No More Heroes should be added as well.

Damn rights, I would love to even see Capcom release Killer 7. Suda's games are usually deeply memorable experiences that are worth revisiting or preserving, in spite of thier jankiness. I would love to see No More Heroes and Lollipop chainsaw on steam, at the very least.

Pretty decent game actually. Some really good writing and performances. Gameplay was a bit simple but fun.

Suda considers the Gamecube version definitive, and I doubt he wants it played any other way.

really enjoying seeing more b-titles that struggled on consoles find a home there, hope it pans out & Killer is Dead is next

erm the steam db says it was updated 2 months ago so progress is still happening ?
