rumor: Lollipop Chainsaw coming to Steam? (SteamDB app name change)

A none gaming friend of mine saw the 360 box of this at my house and assumed I was into anime porn.

So I showed him Urotsukidoji.

Nice! Never got around to playing it on console so I'd be all over a PC release. This and Shadows of the Damned are the two Suda51 games I want the most on PC.

This is on my short list of games I would make love with a tortoise to have on PC. The crowd-control melee and tone of the plot look really great to me.

And that Ash costume is god-tier. It would be criminal if they did not license it for the PC version.

I'd definitely rebuy it if it did come out. Hopefully they'd put in all of the preorder DLC in one package. Unless you were buying codes off of people who preordered it from other stores. It was impossible to get all of the costumes.

With Rockabilly outfit coming close second.

erm the steam db says it was updated 2 months ago so progress is still happening ?

33566 Lollipop Chainsaw Developer Comp CD Key 2 months ago
33567 Lollipop Chainsaw Steam Store and Retail Key Store or CD Key 2 months ago
33568 Lollipop Chainsaw for Beta Testing CD Key 2 months ago

That's not how you interpret that.

the app first appeared around the year the game released. This might just mean that we now know the name of the app itself but that it appearing 3 years ago at first means there were plans for a PC version but maybe it was dropped.

I didn't know this, you buzzkill. :(

Still hope it happens, though I'd rather have Shadows of the Damned. Would EA still own publishing rights? (Brutal Legend happened eventually, so I'd assume it's possible.)

What's with the floating head on that pic?
It's the whole point of the game. At the very beginning, to avoid her boyfriend turning into a zombie, Juliet cuts his head off and performs magic so he stays alive and can talk. They exchange dialogue during the whole game while she fights hordes of zombies, with his head bumping on her butt.

Amazing game.

She also activates super moves by kissing him.

Michael Rosenbaum did an awesome job as Nick.

Two of the three changes unrelated to the Steam Help leak were general backend changes by Valve and the last was a bug, so the app hasn't been updated once since it was uploaded in October 2013. My theory is:

Grasshopper owns the game, so my wild guess is that it began work on a port on its own accord, as something of a side-project, but development was cancelled soon after GungHo bought the company.

Yes please.

Lollipop Chainsaw was one of my favorite games last gen. I even imported the Japanese Premium edition since it has extra replay value (you can choose alternate voice acting tracks including English and multiple Japanese tracks and also there's a mode that replaces all the blood and gore with sparkles and shit.)

I'd double dip on a PC for sure. Especially if it supports 60 FPS.

If anything like Killer is Dead you should be able to easily change framerate to 60 via ini configurations.

Oh yeah, that's another reason I imported the Japanese Premium version - all the costumes are on the disc and available to unlock normally. If you're a big fan of the game it might be worth looking into since this PC port doesn't seem likely to happen any time soon.

Doesn't doing that break the QTEs, though? Or was that fixed?

Are there English subs? I fucking hope so...

I love this game. Preordered, got the Ash Costume, got 50/50 achievements. I've always been debating rebuying on PS3 and getting the plat, and this would definitely push me over the edge. Anyways, not a PC gamer but any Lollipop Chainsaw thread posted is likely to see a post from me.

Actually, if your PS3 system language is set to English then the game will boot up in English by default. Menus, voice acting, Trophies, everything in English.

And I feel you. I got the platinum trophy in the PS3 version and actually considered getting the Xbox 360 version so I could get all the achievements in that version but I never did. I'd definitely bite on a PC release, though.
