Rumor: Uncharted 5 in the works

You do realize that you are simply the other side of the same exact coin you seem to hate so much?

Both ends of the spectrum are complete jokes. But yeah, keep fighting the good fight little buddy. We all wish we could be as much of a giga chad as you are.

I am not in one side or the other but you are not smart enough to have this conversation yet

Just saying the game wasn't received well by a lot of folks because of those choices. Turned out great, imo.
The Lost Legacy was a great game, actually liked how tight it was better than 4's open wanders of nothing. Who cares if half of Gaf was too gay for the protagonist being a half Indian half Australian :messenger_smiling_horns:

Every bit of news, gossip out of Naughty Dog these days just elicits a big groan from me. Not sure which studio downfall is worse, ND or Blizzard.

Yeah, you're such a smart little tike. You're gonna be so impressive when you grow up.

I'm not gonna continue to shit up this thread by arguing with a toddler so I'm done with this conversation.

Our little baby boy is going and reacting "triggered" to all my posts. So cute.

I didn't enjoy Uncharted 4 nearly as much as 1-3. It felt too much like a family drama, and I thought it was quite tepid. The ending set his daughter up to be the successor, so I'm not surprised they are going this direction (if true).

If Druckmann is in charge, I have little hope that the protagonist will be a likeable or relatable main character. She will be another feminist mouthpiece. Yawn. I hope that is not the case, but that is what I would predict at this point.

Great, looking forward to it. Really missing the Uncharted style game, tight narrative and tight, compelling gameplay that can be difficult if you want to.

Lmao is so stupid that might be actually true.

Soy and smart smellers they are, I can totally see going for the girl boss and pushing the idea that "Nate story is over" or some stupid shit.

She will be probably lesbian as well.

I'm playing through the Uncharted games for the first time, and I'm close to beating Uncharted 2.

I won't have a good opinion on this rumor till I finish the rest of the games of the series so I'll just shut the fuck up.

I hate this shoehorning of previous characters in sequels for everything nowadays. Just start a new uncharted with a completely new set of characters and keep the core gameplay/spirit of the franchise the same. Can't wait for a new uncharted regardless its been a hot minute.

I love the series but I don't trust current Naughty Dog.
Very much doubt they'd let you play as Nathan because.. you know why.

"HURRR NATHAN RETIRED AT END OF 4 DUMBASS!" - ResetEra take. You can set the adventure at any point in his life. Nathan Drake is Uncharted

(I did like Lost Legacy)

LL was amazing BTW, and I don't fall to the Chloe hate bs.

Even when most of the GAF migrate to resetera, she got praise from many, even myself.

Most of us saw her as a Tomb Raider candidate.

Is Naughty Dog working on a new Uncharted? Probably.

Is DanielRPK a reliable source for anything? No. Not at all

Then some people would be whining why you're using the Uncharted name because they associate Uncharted with Nathan Drake.

Love Uncharted, but have little interest in seeing what they'd come up with for these two characters. Nathan was already on a tight enough leash in Uncharted 4, and you expect me to believe that they would somehow allow their daughter to go on some globetrotting adventure? Let me guess, her parents get kidnapped.

In the same way you enter a Stellar Blade thread.
I'm interested in Stellar Blade, played through the demo waiting to buy it on sale when my backlog is smaller. Reason is that the giant titties is a bit cringe but won't mean I rule the game out because my opinions aren't defined by some ideology.

What a terrible idea if true
In line with how Druckmann is currently running ND. Just saying. This idea doesn't sound appealing. At least on paper. Cassie comes off as hamfistedly inserted into the Uncharted worldbuilding, because Druckmann had, y'know, "reasons".

I dunno what it is, but, man, modern ND has me rolling my eyes harder than I would've thought a decade ago.

Let me guess.. she will be gay right? I mean surely.
And a character's sexuality is crucial to gameplay, how can you enjoy exploration when you know the video game character likes girls and not you?
Also it's ridiculous as there are no gay people in the world.
The only people who exist are white heterosexual men so why pretend otherwise.

Then why was this post of yours necessary in a thread that was about Stellar blade's success?

No idea how you can "call out" something that is basically inclusiveness and more kindness and understanding but hey, enjoy your hatred.
Especially when you said this too

It was always going to be Cassie and there's no surprise there. It's still pretty funny how they have a bunch of older characters, but they'll be focusing on 2 characters introduced in U4.

Is 4 worth trying out if I didn't like the prior ones? I hated the shitty auto-platforming and smugness of it all, does 4 improve the gameplay?
No, I don't think so. It hasn't evolved into something better than the previous games. In fact, Uncharted 4 is my least favorite in the series, but I still think it's a great game.

What makes Chloe so much better than Nadine?

An exotic and morally ambigous treasure hunter, just like Lara Croft was. A potential antihero/antagonist/ally who might change sides if need be.

Nadine is a Ubisoft NPC in a main role. And she doesnt behave as the merc she's supposed to be because, guess what, she must be brave and stunning. Lost Legacy missed the chance of making them antagonist and fight each other but that needed her to have some kind of personality so that was a no-no.

I really liked Lost Legacy, it's my second favorite in the franchise after Uncharted 2. It actually felt more gameplay focused and didn't have that trademark awful pacing from every Druckmann game. So this could be fun, though I would have liked to see the people behind Lost Legacy doing something new.

I have no issue with Sam Drake as protag, but lets be real, ND making another white male protag game? Lmao 0 chances. It'll be the kid if true and he's just another Sully.

If true, Cassie is obviously going to be the actual main character. Sam will be more like a sidekick, sort of like Sully. He'll try to be a mentor style character like Sully but instead will constantly screw up so they can reinforce how much more skilled Cassie is at everything.
At some point he'll probably leave so they can add a female love interest for Cassie to tag along.

4 has the best combat and gunplay in the franchise, but it ironically has the least amount of action and combat encounters. Instead a majority of the game is walking and talking, braindead puzzles, autopilot platforming and ocassionally exploring semi open environments with literally nothing to do in them (aside from finding some collectibles).

The first 2,5 hours are also painfully slow with basically zero player agency.

Maybe Lost Legacy is the one to actually give a chance here. 4 sounds like it doubles down on all the Michael Bay Of Video Games that made me hate this series to begin with.

Fucking ugh, especially if the choice was this over tlou3.

4 was boring as fuck and i couldn't even stand 2 hours of the dlc.

Sometimes I think old Tomb Raider would never get made today. She's either too sexy, white, and and colonialist to one side. Too woke boss girl to the other.

Personally I'd love more Uncharted games since we don't have nearly enough of that genre right now. Cassie could be in the 18-20 age range with Sam taking over as that mentor figure for her. That's perfect. The only thing I want is for the game to be less of a cocktease about all this treasure that somehow slips away in the end. Make them unapologetic thieves that walk away with something satisfying while always on the hunt for the next bigger score.
