well in my case, i went from a Note 2 to an Oppo Find 7. The Find 7 has a larger screen, but it actually is a smaller phone overall. I can also use it in one hand. Same res and processor as this phone. The thing absolutely flies.

Looks good especially for the price. I've been trying to find a new phone for my daughter and while the Find 7 is to big I'll look at the other phones from them. I have a Blu Life One and love it. The only flaw is that it seems to be stuck at Android 4.2 for the foreseeable future. I'm not to bothered by that though, I lived with 2.3 for like 2 years.

I am willing to hold it to give it a shot but I always thought 5.5 would be my absolute max. I don't really see that changing.

Don't forget that the bezel above and below the screen on the iphone will likely be bigger than on the Nexus 6 so it might not be that much bigger overall than the 6+.

The bezels above and below are huge on the iPhone, I don't see them altering the size of he home button anytime soon

I'm less upset about the size than I am the 1440p. There's no point in going above 1080p on a smartphone. There's not enough content to justify it and you could get more battery life out of it instead, something modern gadgets need way more than higher resolutions.

EDIT: And more internal storage. Sorry Google, but data is still too expensive and WiFi isn't THAT ubiquitous yet, so I'm not going all-cloud anytime soon.

That is why I am most likely going with a Z3: great battery life, expandable storage, waterproof, etc.

Once more devices have screens of that resolution, more apps will support it.

It's not just about the overall physical dimensions; it's also about how much your thumb can even reach with one hand.

Well...on the bright side I phones can't really go anywhere past this size (assuming we don't ditch phones and just start carrying tablets with a watch), so it seems the phone size war is pretty much over.

Love my Note, love my Nexus 7, this is right in between, and has stock Android.

This might be my favorite device ever.

How is the build quality of Motorola stuff? I have zero real world experience with their phones.

Once more devices have screens of that resolution, more apps will support it.

But is that currently necessary? Support for resolutions above 1080p have been very slow. Aside from PC games, content really isn't there for computers, consoles, TV shows, tablets etc. I don't think the smartphones could (or should) be the tipping point.

I really hope they make a nexus 5 plus or something.

I held off on the 5, since my 4 has been doing great, but I really don't want this huge ass phone. :-/

No one needs more than 32 mbs of ram.

Your "smaller", 5.2" Nexus exists, and is called Moto X.
It's customizable, beautiful, powerful. It'll get almost instant updates.

About its main problems: I don't know what people expect or need from a phone's camera, but despite not being an iPhone, actual results seem pretty satisfying to me.
Its sensor is one other flagships sport, too, so no one says that it can't be updated via software, exactly like last year.

And as for the battery, don't freak out.

It's also more expensive.

I'd love to pick one up but it'll be over $500 when it releases in Australia, I've no doubt.

5.9 inches? RIP nexus, our last bastion. Hopefully lots of people buy the Z3 compact. IT IS ALL YOUR DUTIES.

I'd buy it, if 1) it was GPE/ Stock and 2) if Sony would actually make it available to purchase at a decent price.

As long as the price is fair for the new Nexus, I'll most likely jump on it. I ain't scared of its size ;)

I would love a 805 chipset in there though :|

i'm mostly disappointed there's no qi wireless charging. wtf google

If true, that would be a step backwards!!
I'm beginning to think this Nexus wasn't pre-planned like prior versions, since Android Silver was supposed to be the "answer" (take its place). When Silver was killed off, Google scrambled to put a new Nexus device together. Hence why they use Moto, since they still own the company and have access to their hardware.

Thanks for your contribution :D

Yeah, I'll stick with my Nexus 5 for another year.

The lack of LTE in the Nexus 4 made the upgrade to the 5 after a single year a bit more necessary for me. I'm still very pleased with my 5 and I see no reason to upgrade this year.

my contribution is just as valid as yours, as it's my opinion. The front speakers look bad, and anything with a giant Motorola logo (ugliest logo in the smartphone business) is immediately off putting.

That's why you should keep "ugly as fuck" for yourself ;)
As a personal opinion, that is.

Well fuck. Depending on the price I'll probably still get it since I can't stand the sight of my N4 anymore. If it's too big, it'll be no problem to get rid of it again, I guess.

We'll see.

This seems to be the consensus. Nexus phones seemed to be all but dead, unlike the HTC Nexus 9, which does appear to be more of a 'planned' product.

Actually, I shouldn't, and unless you're a mod you should refrain from telling other members what they should and shouldn't post.

I'm not saying you can't say what you think, far from that.
Just pointing out the difference between something like "I think that it looks quite ugly though" and a simple "ugly as fuck" thrown in there.

That's all.
