Context..

I don't have a subscription but don't really know what that has to do with what I wrote anyway. I was just stating my hatred for a scummy fuck.

I honestly have no idea WTF did Putin try to achieve with that mass poison attempt.

Feels more like a "for the evulz" sort of stunt, like "I'm crashing this plane with no survivors" mindless chaos for the sake of chaos.

Apparently two others were also experiencing poison symptoms.

OMG, Russian's gotta be Russians.....

Not sure if this is classified as a use of chemical weapon (US promised to respond), or just a "regular Russian poising event" that is customary for them to get away with lol

Some choice words from Zelensky in his interview with the Economist.

He strongly criticised French President Emmanuel Macron for failing to provide military support, calling Macron "afraid" of Russia. He also accused Germany for being on the fence due to their long relationship with Russia and putting their economy first.

Fair comments I think. The EU have been divided on what actions to take, with some member states not wanting to piss off Russia with stronger sanctions.

Highly doubtful this will impact much of anything. The red line associated with chemical weapons would be their use on population centers as WMDs causing mass death.

So from the BBC Truss said
Sanctions ... should not be removed "as long as Putin continues with his war and he still has troops in Ukraine", she said.

Any long-term settlement should include "a clear sanctions snap-back which would be triggered automatically by any Russian aggression," she added.

That wording makes it sound like if some kind of peace deal is met with Ukraine (which could very well include recognition of Crimea and Donbas) then sanctions would be removed.

So tanks are only good against bullets basically?

Outside of that they are slow death traps waiting to be blowed off...

I'm starting to think that the soldiers who get chose to be inside a tanks got the shorter straw...

I mean seriously, you risk a vacant bullet on foot but you are way more mobile, imagine the absolute horror of being inside a tank when from the sky they are bombing the other tanks and you are just waiting to die.

No simpathy for russian cunts who are not forced to be there, but imagine the sheer fear in those moments...
They aren't only good for bullets.
Anti-tank weapons are dangerous for Russian tanks, sure. But that is for defensive purposes. You hide some troops in some trees then ambush a tank column etc. But you can't go and invade with them. Ukraine can't send a bunch of guys carrying javelins to go take Crimea or Russian held Donbas, for example.
Tanks have an important role other than just stopping small arms fire. Mobility is very important (in terms of being able to travel long distances in shorter amounts of time). They also have high firepower to take out heavier things or provide heavy suppressive fire. And even if a tank is hit by an anti-tank weapon, the people inside are not necessarily dead. There are many videos of troops abandoning their vehicle after it has been struck.

That long, long convoy north of Kiev was stopped by special troops on four wheelers. They manage to during the night destroy the front 3-4 vehicles, which stopped the entire convoy. 30 soldiers on four wheelers and drones pansershots stopped the entire attack.

Starlink was integral to this operation, as they had to connect over a distance with the drones.

Sauce is in swedish, but google translate works well with it.

So, that advance was halted by a bunch of guys with drones. Shows what a important tool they are!!

According to the Commander Honchar, this really shows the future of warfare. He is the Commander of the Aerorozvidska brigade.

"We are like a beehive, says Honchar to the Guardian, a single bee can't do much, but a thousand can do alot of damage".

Being inside a tank really must be terrifying.
I remember seeing a russian tank shooting a column of fire from the top once destroyed and upon further research, apparently it's just the pressure causing the fire inside to shoot out like a column so I'm guessing if you're still alive inside from the initial blast, you'll just be cooked alive.

Given the context of what is happening, and that he is viewed by Ukraine as focal to any sort of peace talks. We shouldn't be cheering on the poisoning him and two Ukrainian delegates.

I only meant him. Look him up, Russian money as an oligarch.

You know what that means or have you been blind?

If you do know; explain his involvement with Russia and Chelsea?

Quad bikes. 'Four wheelers' could describe most vehicles.

What is your point? Most people up north knows, all over the globe, in several different languages, what a four wheeler is.

Ummm, quad bikes absolutely are working vehicles.

And special forces do use them. In fact, some prefer them as no vehicle like that can offer any meaningful protection, so they value the ability to quickly egress (and ingress too) and the reduced weight.

Quad bike is an oxymoron when “bike” comes from “BIcycle.” If you say four wheeler to an American, they know you’re talking about a quad.
It is, but 'bike' has come to form the image of the control mechanism in this sense, rather than the number of wheels.

And 'quadcycle' or 'quadracycle' are too mealy. There's also 'trike' if you're going to take issue with it.

Here is a detailed video of the tactical breakdown of the war and why the Ukrainians are holding their own and may even possibly win. It's long, but worth a watch.

Thanks for sharing. Watched most. Really great take down of the situation. Pretty heartening stuff, really.
