What's fascinating about this conflict from a global perspective is that Putin's overwhelming desire is that his country is perceived as strong, 'right' and much better than the decadent west. He's spent the last two decades propagating that idea on social media and the internet in general (no doubt spending millions to do so)... and has now completely undone all of it in less than two months.

Russia is now universally perceived by the democratic nations of Earth as: weak, pathetic, poorly run, full of murderous & nasty scum, financially and morally bankrupt, and inferior to us in every single aspect.

Even tho my grandfather was in forced labor....than he was saved and did a navigator in UK Air Force. He was never married and he didn't had by that time any child, so Germans weren't sure who to kill for this, we were occupied.

You know what Bolshevik did after he returned? They jailed him, because he saw the imperialistic west and they couldn't have that, it was something which had to be done by USSR command. And among others a lot more, but this is something which is relevant here. I don't think that any Russian soldier would be alive in a year, or rather alive and in home, since the tactic are very much the same. They know the truth, there is war out there and if they came and said that. Putin would look bad
