Come on Joe, just use the whole situation in the Middle East as a smoke screen for launching a shit load of Tomahawks at Russian C&C across Ukraine. You can all claim they were Storm Shadows or SCALPS. Nobody's looking at Ukraine hard right now, so now's the time to fuck shit up properly.

There are now reports of a severe build up of forces on the north bank of the Dnipro in the area where bridgeheads were formed across the river from Krynky to Pishchanivka including experienced UAV units. Ukranian forces have established presence inside both of these settlements

This is a helpful report by the Ukrainian journalist Butusov on the battle of Avdiivka as of late 22 October. It goes over the military formations involved in the battle from both sides and touches upon the current situation. In short, Ukrainian forces withstood what no one else could and held the main defence line, inflicting major losses on the Russian formations, but at a high price.

The grinder keeps on grinding.. Latest Defence Intelligence update on the situation in Ukraine – 22 October 2023.

In normal countries you risk your equipment to protect your men. In russia you use equipment as steel coffins
Shame Russia puts 0 value on human life as this war would have ended months ago if they did,

General Staff: Russia launches major attack across entire eastern front. "At the moment, the Russians haven't tried anything new in terms of tactics, but they are pulling up reserves from all over Russia, trying to push through our defense lines".

Good, because the US might be very thinly stretched out very soon.

The US can fight in Europe, Asia, and southern hemisphere simultaneously even nowadays, without breaking a sweat. The hurdle isn't any longer military power, but political and national support. The 11 operational super carriers, with two more on the way, and 9 helo carriers are one hell of a force projection, backed up with some of the best airplanes in the world, that alone will stifle almost every nation on the planet.

Then you add the subs and the rest of the fleets, backed up by super range bombers. There is really nothing else like it on the planet when you talk about the US armed forces, they will never be broken by warfare, only vulnerability is the situation at home.

Only major power enemy left is China, and when you compare numbers, they have people. Which currently is being shown doesn't give you a major advantage in modern wars.

RuSSia, despite what is going on in Ukraine, turned out to be a outdated slow moving turd. Just in 2019 alot of military folks were really worried regarding the latest and greatest equipment that RuSSia had. All of that stuff turned out to be, poop and propaganda.

It seems like Russia has not produced any fully functional military equipment since the Soviet Union days

They lost an impressive amount of troops and materiel, but it does seem the Russians took out some key terrain by Avdiivka.

Wether they can finish the encirclement is up in the air, but the job of the defenders got harder.

They don't care about dying is the problem, thats why I support Ukraine using flamethrower tanks, they're effective at causing fear even among the most hardened combatants
In ww2 German forces that weren't afraid if dying by bullets or explosions would surrender to Crocodiles (flame throwing tanks), second one of those showed up german forces were like nope I dont mind being shot, but I'm not going to be lit on fire

South of Avdiivka, the AFU has forced Russian troops out of several entrenched positions. The gray zone has been adjusted accordingly.

NEW: #Ukrainian forces continued counteroffensive operations in eastern and southern #Ukraine on October 24 and advanced south of #Bakhmut and in western #Zaporizhia Oblast

Maybe not flamethrowers. But the US should give Ukraine some white phosphorous bombs.
Russia has been using them against Ukraine, including civilian targets. maybe it's time they got a taste of their own medicine.

#Russian sources claimed on October 25 that #Ukrainian forces resumed larger-than-usual ground operations on the east (left) bank of #Kherson Oblast and maintain positions in several areas on the east bank of the #Dnipro River.

2/ ISW has not observed any visual evidence indicating that #Ukrainian forces have advanced further on the left bank and only a handful of #Russian sources are currently claiming that Ukrainian forces have resumed larger-than-usual ground operations on the east bank.

Reverse logic from the RuSSkies?

White House: Russia endures heavy losses near Avdiivka, suffers from low morale.
U.S. National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said that according to Washington's assessments, Russia is suffering significant losses and experiencing low morale due to its attacks on Avdiivka, European Pravda reported on Oct. 26.
"We have information that the Russian military has been actually executing soldiers who are refusing to follow orders," Kirby said during the press briefing, according to the Agence France Presse.
"We also have information that Russian commanders are threatening to execute entire units if they seek to retreat from Ukrainian artillery fire."

It's gonna be funny when the ruskies run out of armored personnel carriers. You can't just pump out more apc and tanks like that. Sure you can go to north Korea and Iran to get shells and drones but heavy equipment is a different matter

When Russia is bleeding out and right at the breaking point, of course that's the time to curb support and make pointless all the previous money invested.

They'll just strap some rolled zync sheets onto a van and send the troops into the grinder.
