Russian hackers leak Simone Biles and Serena Williams files

I think WADA, the IOC, and such all need their own set of Doctors to approve the athletes medications. Because I know there are doctors who would diagnose you with anything at the right price. If the IOC had their own regulated doctors that see atheltes from all the countries, there wouldn't be any concerns that some athletes may be getting approval for a drug they don't need only because they sought out corrupted doctors who would diagnose them with anything they wanted.

So Team SKY and Wiggins finally got exposed, their no needle policy, lol. Wiggins getting hammered over his TUE doping injections, even Armstrong pursuer David Walsh is going in on him.

The dirty cheating bastards.

Rafael Nadal, Laurie Hernandez, Mo Farah among latest medical data leak

The latest leak shows that Nadal was granted exemptions in 2009 and 2012. The 14-time Grand Slam winner is coming off a gold medal in the men's doubles with Marc Lopez. Earlier in the year, Nadal missed more than two months of action as he nursed a wrist injury.

Hernandez, a member of the gold-medal winning women's all-around team, was granted a TUE for methylprednisolone, which is used to treat conditions such as allergies, arthritis, lupus and ulcerative colitis.

The latest leak also showed TUEs for several Olympic medalists in track and field including Great Britain's Mo Farah and Burundi's Francine Niyonsaba. Farah, the two-time Olympic champion at 5,000 and 10,000 meters, received a TUE for intravenous infusions of saline solution, morphine sulphate and vicodin (oral administration) in 2014 after he collapsed during a training session. He had no active TUEs in Rio de Janeiro, according to the Fancy Bears data.

Again, "X athlete has official exemptions" is extended by conspiracy theorists to "X athlete must be abusing official exemptions".

You have at the top of the page (100) an article citing concern about possible abuse from a specialist who can be blamed of anything but pro-Russian bias or conspiracy theories.

If USADA hands out medical exemptions like candy to their top athletes to let them use otherwise banned doping substances, is that really all that different from Russia's state-sanctioned, widespread doping?

I feel sick. They all seem dirty. The IOC allowing Russian athletes to compete, these files leaking - it's all absolutely ruined the Olympics for me. Who can I believe at this point?

It's the Tour de France all over again. I've stopped watching when all the doping scandals broke in the early 00s. The Rio Olympics were the first Olympic games in my lifetime I haven't followed religiously because I became aware of all this bullshit happening.

These fucking arrogant, corrupt fuckers have ruined the spirit of the olympics for me.

The IOC might be the only global organisation approaching the same levels of corruption as the current title holder, FIFA. I wouldn't trust any doctors associated with them. I'm ashamed the president is the same nationality as me, and the damage they have done to the sports represented at the olympics because of their actions.

Yes, the appearance of impropriety is always more important than actual wrongdoing.

Professional athletes at the top of the game dope. The ones who don't get caught are just spending more on the expensive designer drugs that go undetected. Not a surprise there are other loopholes.

Everyone should watch the ESPN 30 for 30 9.79*. You won't be able to look at the Olympics the same way again after.

Prednisone is pretty amazing product. I can go from not be able to walk to feeling pretty good after taking a few. I could see a use for doping even if it's not turning you into he-man/woman.

And I guess I don't have ADHD because aderall definitely enhances my drinking and partying performance.

Prednisone will actually cause muscle breakdown (cortico steroid induced myopathy), fluid retention and weight gain are also very common side effects. You'd be crazy to 'dope' with it.

They should just sit out until they no longer need to use a normally banned substance to compete.. Which is the point many people have.

Long term use yeah, I was thinking more short term to get over pain soreness or injury.

David Walsh recently summed up the situation thus:

Ah David Walsh. Sucked at the teet of Team Sky for the last three years and told us how clean they were. They played him for a fool.

Tbh I just want to see Wiggins squirm. He's a wrong'un.

I'm sorry but anyone who thinks that medical exemptions are at the same level as what Russia did is just stupid. Whether or not they were valid or not what Russia did was a thousand times worse.

Edit: old thread wups

Simone is essentially taking a form of speed. That's what ADHD medications like Adderall essentially are. In her field not sure how much that would actually improve their performance but it's certainly worth checking out.

Honestly I'm not that angry that some laundry is about to be aired. I'm curious to see what exemptions many of our top athletes have been given.

So much for Team Sky being clean lol

Wiggins will be defending himself in an interview with Andrew Marr tomorrow, even if he claims everything he did was in accordance with the rules it is very obvious that he has abused TUEs to "legally" dope.

I expect the British media to tear Wiggins to pieces.

I don't expect the british press to tear one of their own apart. The French will though.

Wiggins no-show in 2013 was massively sus so I've been really sceptical of Team Sky and the way they've destroyed the peloton consistently for so long.
It really highlights how bad the UCI is though at taking even a semi-serious approach to drugs in cycling. From pissweak bans to telling teams how much they were allowed to dope the whole organisation is either corrupt, incompetent or both.

BREAKING: Women of color take meds in certain totally legal contexts, are chastised for it

Get out of here with this rubbish. Have you examined the overall story at all or just read this thread title and decided you were outraged? The person getting the most scrutiny here is Bradley Wiggins. Who happens to be a white male if you hadn't noticed.

I'm not so sure about that. Most of the discussion (6 out of 7 pages) took place before the hacking group revealed other names.

Yes, I'm very glad that Russia is so butthurt that they try to shame black women by revealing their mental disabilities. I'm very curious as well, not mad.

This is beside the topic, but are all these 'hacking' groups retarded teenagers? What's with all the juvenile names? Unless they themselves are dumb kids- which would show their 'lol we is hackerz!' skills is just jumping on other people's carelessness. I am waiting for a group that call themselves 'Pokemon rulzz!'- and not in an ironic way...

If a drug gives such an advantage, I'm not sure it should be permitted even if medically necessary. If I was competing I would be pissed.

Uh, nice try I guess. I can think of a bunch of reasons, malicious and possibly legit, for why someone would leak this that have nothing to do with their race or gender
