Rest

All these years later I still chuckle at what a fucking moron that guy is.
I thought Disney wasn't letting more Deadpool movies happen?

"We didn't have any new ideas so here's a guy you recognise"

At least they're up front about it I guess.

Nice, had fun with both of them (though the first one was definitely better). Hopefully Disney doesn't restrict them too much

Will fit right in with the MCU.
"Plot? who cares about the plot? Did you see the cameos and guest stars?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?"

You forget to mention: "Exclusively on Disney +, as a six part limited series from the creative team that brought you Obi-Wan!!"

I feel like they're going to hype his return in this movie, only to kill him off in 3 seconds as a joke. 😅 Kind of like what they did in the second movie. I figure if Hugh was done with the role, that's about the only way he'd return.

The thing I'm least anticipating about this is the MCU connection. Loved the first two Deadpool movies and I liked most of the X-Men and Wolverine films Hugh Jackman was in, so I'm excited to see what they come up with.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
Spider-Man & Deadpool saving the MCU..
Ironic when you think about it 😏

I loved the Deadpool movies but after Love and Thunder and the rest of the mediocre movies since Infinity War, I doubt that Deadpool 3 will live up to expectations.

Still, it will probably be entertaining enough to see in theaters at release (with a nice edible kicking in).

fingers crossed to see Hugh Jackman in the proper attire.

The only good news out of the whole Marvel shit we've been getting.

"Hollywood is out of ideas, creatively bankrupt, I want "original" stories."

Marvel releases and announces Shang Chi, Eternals, Moon Knight, Ms Marvel, She-Hulk, Werewolf by Night, The Marvels, Thunderbolts, Secret Invasion, Echo and Ironheart.

"Fuck Marvel suck."

Marvel announces a threequel with a character that has been played by the same actor in 7 films.

"Fuck yeah, finally something good announced"

To be fair, no one wants new IP with bad characters. They want SOMETHING with GOOD characters.

Iger on the first 2017 investor's call during the Fox merger on Deadpool:
“It clearly has been and will be Marvel branded. But we think there might be an opportunity for a Marvel-R brand for something like Deadpool. As long as we let the audiences know what’s coming, we think we can manage that fine.”

Iger on the February 2019 earnings call:
“We do believe there is room for the Fox properties to exist without significant Disney influence over the nature of the content. Meaning that we see that there is certainly popularity amongst Marvel fans for the R-rated Deadpool films, for instance we’re going to continue in that business, and there might be room for more of that.”

Feige said it was R-rated last year:

“It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now"

Iron Man is still an average at best character in the comics.
But he is a great character in the MCU. Have Iron Man solo title comics sold better while RDJ is cashing 50 million/film checks?

I'm saying that the characters and a big chunk of the actors for this new wave are mostly trash compared to the phase 1&2 choices.

My point is, you can't judge an MCU based character on it's comic version. It's entirely different.

My earlier point being, this is the reason Hollywood is allergic to new ideas, because people fucking ignore original ideas and just latch onto sequels and remakes!

Based on hype level alone I think this movie has a good chance of being the number 1 highest grossing R rated film of all time. It also has a high chance of beating Joker 2 at the Box Office in 2024 (both coming one month apart).

Insomniac must be loving this. Their Wolverine game for PS5 is releasing the same year as this right?
Nice coincidence for them. Not that a wolverine game needs any help to sell lmao

Just a coincidence like you said. Won't affect the game one way or the other. Much like the movie "Kraven Defender of Earth and all Animals" being moved to October 2023 won't get a BO boost because the highly anticipated Spider-Man 2 with Kraven as a villain is coming out around the same time next year.

This always reminds me that Feige also mentioned Blade will be PG-13. Well he didn't commit to it but he implied. I'm still salty about it. Not a fan of PG-13 Blade, especially when you have an actor like Mahershala Ali at the helm.

Deadpool sucks. The basic idea has potential, but the execution is off. The understanding of ‘meta’ is very low level and disappointing.
