On the opposite end of the fun spectrum is Fuzz. Best new activity so far. I watched my bro chase down a "helmet-less rider" and he rammed him head on with a car sending him flying off his bike. Then ran straight up to him and kicked him in the balls and put two bullets in his spine to finish him off.

The artbook in particular is very small, its particularly weak compared with the bonus artbook for dead space which although smaller pages, has like 5 times more pages.
The bullet memory stick doenst look anything like a real bullet, its bright and shiny chrome and looks kinda stupid. The money clip is also pretty stupid. The metal case is nicely done but I would have preferred a steelbox DVD case instead.

so from some screenshots it looks like you can set up your place with a strippers dancing pole. Can you do that and recruit strippers? I fear playing this game with my wife watching.

got it at lunch. for you canadians, Best Buy has a free copy of "boyz n tha hood" on dvd if you buy Saint's Row 2 there.
Only got to mess with the character creator, I didn't think improving the first would be possible but wow there is a stupid amount of customization options in there. Was hoping for even more hairstyles but with clever cranium manipulation I came close to what I wanted. Some of the default facial expressions "happy/sad/angry", etc are priceless and worth the price of admission in itself (think garys mod).
can't wait to put the kids to sleep tonight and dig in.

seriously get both, order dead space from someplace like amazon (saved myself almost $20 there by using some of their coupons, etc).ThePeacemaker02 said:

if you can only get one then Dead Space is getting better scores but Saints Row will likely have a LOT of replay in there. The multiplayer alone will likely eclipse Dead Space regarding price vs gaming time.

As a huge Saints Row fan, I can happily say after 2 hours of playing this that everything that was great in Saints 1 is even better in this version, and the game looks a lot more polished graphically then Saints 1 (did a comparison, Saints 2 just looks a better).
There seems to be a ton of stuff in this one. Just one word of advice, turn on the V-sync option in the beginning of the game.

Unlike the first, it's net even necessary this time around. I was thinking about turning it on from the start, but decided to play first to see what it was like. Once you get out of prison it's so slight that it's barely noticeable.Kingpen said:

There are also times when you aren't the only officer on the scene. At one point I was supposed to stop a drunk from wandering the streets. Just as I was about to start beating on him, a fellow officer comes outa nowhere and throws him through a wooden fence. :lol

Just picked it up. As always, the trappings are fucking atrocious and I hate everything about the style, the presentation, the cynical way the game approaches the audience it believes will buy the game, and the borderline racist way it exploits stereotypes. It is less parody or satire than lowest-common-denominator.
That said, it is still an inherently fun experience and the gameplay is quite well done. It still does quite a few things mechanically much better than Grand Theft Auto.

Been playing for about 3 hours so far and I've done two missions. Every other moment has been spent fucking around. Throwing old TVs at hobos. Tazing old people in the park and watching them writhe around with 10,000 volts crackling through them. Throwing molotov cocktails at hookers. Picking up garbage cans and throwing them through store windows. Jet skiing through the city's sewer system. Shooting manure on the poor people at the trailer park from a septic truck.

i don't even have Saint's Row 1 to compare and the last time I played was a long time ago but... outside of the initial game load up, loading is fast, framerate is pretty damn consistent for a game of this type... but the graphics are only moderately improved from before. It's still pretty ugly looking though.

I got mine at Best Buy as well, didn't get Boyz in the Hood. They only had like 6 copies of the movie and once I saw it was fullscreen, I left it there.
Seems like one by one everybody is reporting it as an issue, I've had about 5 freezes over my ~25 hours played. Some while barely anything was happening and some where everything was exploding and wasn't overly surprising.dskillzhtown said:
