They're all the same preorder codes

#728237 Unlock D-STROY UFO
#7266837 Unlock Peewee Mini Bike

Other one is floating about.

Quick question on these.... if you use these or other "cheats", does it screw you out of achievements or story advancement or anything? Do I want to wait until I've beat the game first, or make a separate save, or will I be cool?

I played like 3 hours last night. Right off the bat I like the customization options. I won't lie, after playing GTA a couple of days ago this game lacks a good deal of polish, I especially miss Euphoria physics when peds hit cars.

Fun factor is high though, I did the ambulance stuff and had fun paddle shocking people lol. Also, the property damage activity can get really intense. I haven't even touched the main storyline yet, so far the game is a blast. I hope I can get a buddy to pick this up for co-op.

For cheats - you'll want to take the necessary precautions because it will lock achievements.

As for these, you won't have any trouble. They are preorder codes for certain retailers, not cheats. I've got these vehicles and have unlocked achievements since.

Played for 14 straight hours yesterday, 4pm-6am. No freezes (360).

Just about the ONLY complaint I have is the vehicle handling is still too arcadey. Cars have no weight, go from zero-to-full speed in 2 seconds, and hug the road like elite race cars.

Everything else is just wonderful, though. In that 14 hours yesterday (which was probably 11-12 hours of actual play time), I did, I dunno, 4 or 5 plot missions. There is so much else to do it's crazy.

I'm gonna put this in caps and bold since it's so important:

When you get the game, immediately go to the graphics menu and TURN ON V-SYNC.

The framerate is vastly improved in SR2, and I haven't noticed any penalties for turning the v-sync on. The framerate in SR1 would be a damn slideshow at times, particularly when there were a lot of light sources going on (night time + helicopter spotlight + burning car = slideshow). I haven't noticed any major dips in framerate in SR2 so far, with or without v-sync.

Just as I was about to wrap up my marathon session last night, I found the Fuzz activity. Oh my god! :D I don't want to spoil anything, just... go do it.

I looooove how the NPCs are different depending on where you are on the map. Lots of hot goth chicks hanging around the university campus! :D Very funny commentary if you stand around and listen to them, too, but that really goes for all the NPCs.

I'm rambling 'cuz there's so much to talk about. I'll just shut up, and go play some more.

Holy fuck. That changes EVERYTHING about Snatch now.

Also, the activity where you have to drive a prostitute around and avoid the camera trucks as she services high profile people (can't remember the name), thankfully your limo is reset in damage every round now. That used to be the worst facet of that activity, my limo would practically be a frame with wheels after about round 4, and you couldn't use another car. Not anymore.

you're gonna hate the tow truck missions.

just a tip for everybody with the tow truck missions. spoilered for people who don't want my help.

recruit 2 homies near the vehicle to be towed, get in the to be towed vehicle, get back into your tow truck, one of your homies will jump in the vehicle and follow you back. then hitch it up, and deliver it. it saves you from having to drag a vehicle 20 blocks with cops ramming you.

I forgot to mention my love of the new Insurance Fraud. Those who played the first know Insurance Fraud was already one of the better side missions in a sandbox game, period. The could've left it alone and ported it straight to the sequel, but instead..

New Insurace Fraud with an adrenaline meter which, when maxed out, gives you automatic low gravity and a Burout inspired after touch ability. So now you can sorta control your low G flight in mid-air. "OMGWTF@all this awesome", sums it up nicely.

That's what I said. Fuzz is the best one out of the new activities.

Did you find the Matrix inspired girls yet? Tight black leather outfits with sunglasses and the whole deal. :lol

Something I thought of that was funny. I was randomly shooting at cops because I had infinite ammo at the moment. So all the peds go crazy running around and I see my first streaker. Its a guy with a hat just running around with nothing on, so I keep blowing up cops and when I look back again, he's being held from the neck by a female gangster. The image was really funny, and I shot him in the head while she held him, making me realize co-op is going to be awesome.

Level 5 Crowd Control is ridiculous. I can get within a few thousand dollars, but then the celeb wanders too far from the bonus zones and he/she starts to get swarmed. :/

Hey guys,

For those interested our Q & A with Lead Designer Scott Phillips just went live.

http://www.msxbox-world.com/xbox360...2---QA-with-Scott-Phillips-lead-designer.html

He answers alot of questions, I found this one in particular interesting:

From many of the trailers and stories covering this game you've seem to gone the complete opposite direction Rockstar has with their realistic makeover, was this part of your intentions?

Development of Saints Row 2 was started before Saints Row 1 was even finished, so the direction that Saints Row 2 has gone is completely unique and not influenced by any other game. The direction that we've gone is a continuation of the unique direction that we started on in Saints Row 1. We made choices about where to take Saints Row 2 based upon some simple logic, "is this fun?". That logic served us well and helped us to produce one hell of a fun and enjoyable game with many features that haven't been seen in an open world game before.

Looking at the image of the limited edition pack the Stilwater map looks very similar (almost the same) as the original, will there be any episodic content with further areas beyond stilwater such as a suburb called wavywater perhaps opening up?

The world of Saints Row 2 has been expanded nearly 50% over the size of the original Saints Row. Along with adding new areas we've also gone back and retouched and improved every single square inch of the Stilwater from Saints Row 1. I think ever players of Saints Row 1 will find that the city is familiar but brand new in many ways.

As for DLC, we've been planning for downloadable content for months, but obviously can't talk about the nature of that yet.

One thing to note for those just going by the landspace on the maps alone and saying the game is X bigger than the first. There are a lot of additions that you can't see via the map. More building interiors (the Rounds Square Mall alone is HUGE. I'm talking like 5 stories underground, plus parking garage etc.) and the city has an entire sewer system you can explore, plus caves and the like.

So, you're supposed to be able to hold up citizens, there's even an achievement for it

Stilwater Welcoming Committee (5) Mugged 50 citizens of Stilwater.

Yet, I have no idea how to do this. Pointing your gun at citizens does nothing (yes, I went into fine aim mode). Is it just beating them until death and they leave their money?

Also, while looking up that achievement, I noticed this one

I’m Not Addicted! (5) Gambled $500,000 total lifetime.

Where can you gamble and what are the games? Spoiler tag it if it's a plot development.

I never really looked but there's video poker in the Casino in the marina/hotels district. There's blackjack somewhere, might be there too.

How do you rob stores in this game? In the last one you just had to point your gun at the clerk and have him lead you to the safe in the back... It doesn't seem to be working right.

I did just that and it worked fine. Make sure the aiming reticle is red.

Works the same here here. Just make sure you aren't zoomed in, because it won't activate that way.

Oh, someone asked about mugging people earlier.. That works in the opposite way. Just find someone and use fine aim to zoom in, it'll start automatically.

If they're moving, it won't work. Just find someone standing around and pull out your guns and fine aim at them. They'll raise their hands and, after a few seconds, drop their cash and run.

Whoa.. I was hiding under an overpass waiting for my wanted level to drop and all of a sudden my character started walking by itself. I thought I was leaning on the analog stick for a second, but wasn't. Apparently my character got cold and in an idle animation walked over to a homeless guy warming himself near a fire barrel and held her hands out just like they do to warm herself up. :O

The surprises never end with this game.

I've been playing 10 hours already? wow...time flies when you're rolling with a ninja gang while blasting A-ha and fighting other samurai-y gangs with a minigun.

And where is the costume shop?

Are there good places to hide out wanted levels? The cops seem to magically find me wherever I go.

I wasn't even aware this crap was possible. I feel even dumber now because since the original I always went to the forgive and forget drive thru when I had more than one star.

you could wait them out in the first game too, but it was easier to just go to F&F
