RC weapon is hilarious to play with even in SP.

Stand on top of VTOL-->RC VTOL under you-->fly up-->DO A BARREL ROLL.

I'm so angry after playing some of the Snatch missions. People won't get in the goddamn cars and the fact that they have to finish their animations to get in the car is so annoying. I was so frustrated. >_<
I could've sworn that once they started the open door animation, you can floor it and they'll still get in the car. That's what I always did if I remember right.

Annnnd beaten! DAMN! What an amazing ride. Had I know this game would be this good, I would have bought it day one. I'm urging all my friends to buy this so they can experience one of the best open world games this generation. Grand Theft Auto who? My jaw dropped at the last mission, only because it was so out of this world
literally :p
. Any game that manages to make me smile and laugh as much as SR3 did is perfect in my book. And the music, was anyone else pumped during the second to last mission
if you chose to save Shaundi and they play "Holding Out For a Hero?". I mean, wow that was an excellent choice to go with :D
.

Around how long is it taking you guys to beat the platinum? I know there's a trophy for spending 30 hours in Steelport, so does it take much more than that?

How many more missions do I have left after Murder Brawl? I want to clean up everything before I finish.

Haven't gotten there yet, but you can always check how many missions you have left by going to your phone, selecting Extras, then Stats.

Yeah you're right but that's no the problem. In Snatch, you have to drive to the people. There are almost always other gangs shooting around them so they are on the floor. You call them and they get up so slowly, and they have to wait on their animation to finish before they approach the car. Meanwhile you're getting shot to shit and people are dragging you out of your car if are stopped waiting for the goddamn NPCs to finish their long animation. Then they start to run at your car. IF they open the door then you are good, however, many times they are being shot at or a car runs them over or something stops them and you have to wait for those animations to stop before they come back to the car. Other times it just bugs out and they starting walking and then keep walking into the door but don't open it... then you're just fucked. And then as you start to speed up someone drags you out of your car and people following you get out of the car as well starting this all over again. So frustrating... I also hate Escort. LOSING CONTROL OF YOUR VEHICLE IS SO MUCH FUN.

I was so frustrated if you can't tell by the way I wrote that.

Took me 36 hours. That includes about an hour of finding collectibles before I threw in the towel and bought the upgrade to get the last 15!

I think I spent about 46 hours or so doing EVERYTHING. I think it might be a lot shorter if you're incorporating a lot of the other saintsbook stuff into your gameplay already. Just make sure to do the gang taunting/compliment thing before you take over the city and remember that you can use police forgiveness during the vehicle thefts. Oh and I'd recommend taking any and all survival missions as they come. Honestly it sucks to just sort of have everything done and just having to let the game idle in order to progress.

The last one is the hardest thing.

Tips?

I had no problem with any of the side missions so maybe I can help.

Just keep boosting, use boost every chance you can. Don't worry about hitting a 'firewall' if you have to in order to get to a blue tank behind it as you're guaranteed an extra 4 seconds.

That's how we usually swap characters, but its giving me a 404 this time.

Anyway I got it by going to my profile and replacing '/sephi22' with '/residentdante'. :p
Though I can't add her to the queue. Oh well.

I tried making them un-public and public again. There are two charcters, but it's just the same one with different clothing. "lol" and "ResidentDante". See if it works now!

Boost? I didn't even know you could boost. What button?

Speaking of boost it wasn't until after I had earned the 30 hour trophy that I learned I could do a burnout by pressing gas and reverse =/ Wish I had known that sooner as it's super handy.

Yeah I escaped a bunch of times using that. Especially during the vehicle theft missions.

I still have that stupid steal a tank mission and I can't get anywhere close to it, even if I use police forgiveness. The shields just come back when I enter a new area :(.

If I remember right that was the only one I didn't really have trouble with. If you can at least make it to the free way it shouldn't be so hard. I think I drove in reverse nearly my whole way back to the garage. Fire at everything chasing you and just bulldozer everything in front of you.

After trying to get into this for a while with Skyrim and Arkham City clamouring for my attention, I finally came back to sit down with Saint's Row with no distractions and I've just been having a blast. Once I just hit the point where you're earning enough between missions to just upgrade something every mission and get more bullet invulnerability or weapon damage or whatever the game just becomes a whole lot more fun.

Some of the sharpest writing in a videogame I've ever come across, even if the overall story or whatever is totally pants.

Also, I killed Genki for like THREE HUNDRED KAY!!! I feel like I might have missed a weapon he dropped? When I thought back on it, I realized he was shooting rockets from like a smaller, one handed kinda thing.

Did I miss something?

And does he ever reappear?

This has easily been the best purchase I've made since Bayonetta. I can't remember the last time I've been 16 hours into a game and felt like I've both just scratched the surface and that things could stay just like they are and I'd be happy for another 16 hours.

Blowing up gang operations in my helicopter then landing on the roofs of skyscrapers and repeatedly base jumping has been the highlight of my evenings this week.

I just wish this wasn't out at the same time of year as Skyrim and SWTOR...

Picked this up when Best Buy had it on sale for $30.

Pretty pysched to start it up. Is the general consensus that this pretty much trumps any recent sandbox game in 'fun factor'?

Some of the hardware you get as the game goes on really makes me wish this game had destructible buildings like in Mercenaries. Would make causing a ruckus so much more fun.

On that topic, is there some secret to the mayhem missions? I can never find a large enough concentration of stuff to blow up, and the gangs/police don't show up fast enough to rack up cash.

In missions with unlimited grenades just throw those bad boys veerywhere racking up combos for blowing up lamposts, bins, pfences, eople, cars, multi kills ect. I usually just stand in one place and have yet to fail a "hard" level.

When you have the rocket launcher, just replace the word "grenades" with "rockets".

Go along sidewalks and blow up concentrations of fences and other stuff to get a lage combo going. Mayhem was actually one of the easiest missions, I think I had 2 million points going in one before I decided to let the combo drop.

Also, I didn't know NPCs could drop guns that you could use indefinitely, interesting.

OH! I just remembered! I actually did have my tank blow up in that mission and I just remembered how I made it through it :D

So basically no matter what you've got 5 stars for being in a tank right? At 5 stars you are going to have tanks chasing after you anyway. If the one you are currently stealing is destroyed just steal another from the flock that's following you. It should continue the mission as normal, I think I actually ended up finishing a couple challenges that way.

Does anyone have a link to the video of the voice acting cast of SR3 doing the singalong of Sublime's "What I got" that was posted some time ago on Facebook? I think one of Volition's employees posted it.

So, GAF consensus on Saints Row 3 Co-Op? Just picked up 3 copies today at £19.99, one for me, one for a present for my fiancée at Christmas, and one for her sisters boyfriends Christmas.

It's awesome although I've mostly just fooled around and done activities and a few missions; haven't actually played through the whole game with anyone.

Ok something weird happened. I ran into Professor Genki near a plaza while I was out mowing down the Morning Stars in my shiny new tank. I immediately focused all my attention on Genki and killed him, but nothing happened... WTF???

I thought I was suppose to get like 200000 dollars or something... Unless I had to get out of the tank and he dropped it, in which case eff me... *_*

EDIT: Oh wait, I got out for a lil bit and ran around the area where his body was and got a 100,000 dollars? Is that suppose to be how much he gives? Anyway, what to spend it on... I've only completed 4 missions so far and I'm already level 26. Also got dual wield incendiary smg's which rock! This game is just so much fun to just screw around.. haha
