So... are there some glitched trophies I didn't know about, I haven't been in this thread before.
I have +95% on two islands left and that's it but there isn't anything left to do. The map says I have one gang operation to kill on each island but the map is blank when I try to bring up only those activities.

Well, I can tell you I'm level 15 and I've only gotten through two missions so far in the story. Sooo much to do!! lol

Took me 25 hours, got 90% completion.

You can tack a bunch of hours onto that if you try to clear all the saintsbook challenges.

Some of these vehicle thefts are a pain in the ass. Especially when you are driving a piece of crap like the Titan that goes two miles an hour and there are fifty cops shooting you. Same with the boat where the missiles curve around where you are aiming. I guess I could try calling a homie for help.

I know there are a couple on rooftops, other than that, try searching back lots and dock areas. Maybe fly over the area to cover more ground.

Oh wow, lol. I assumed that wouldn't work because I tried going in and out of a shop I owned and it didn't help. In hindsight it was because I had to get in and out of the car obviously. This makes it about a million times easier.

I've gotten to 5 star stag/police where tanks and vtrol's and humvees and everything have been attacking me for like a half hour (using a tank) but I still only have 6/25 kills.

Is there a way to get these guys to show up? I'm on like mission 36/46 and I haven't gotten the achievement for finishing act 2 yet so I guess i'm still in act 2.

Is there an upcoming mission that has a lot of these guys or what? Its not the mission where you first steal the vtrol is it?



and does anyone know the replenish time for gang/police forgiveness and for calling a heli/tank? It seems like it takes hours.

There will be one or two missions where every enemy you run into is a commando. I didn't go out of my way to get this challenge, I just came by it naturally. Hope that helps.

People have said the cool down period for that stuff is 20 minutes. If you have other things to do, go do them and come back.

Look for the patches of fire on the ground and prioritise hitting those over hitting anything else, because they trigger a massive chain-reaction of explosions. Other than that just keep hitting pedestrians like Neuro said.

Zombie Attack. Yeah, yeah I know most gamers out there love zombies, and while I thought the inclusion of them in the game was BADASS, I just did not like the mission in general. I felt like I was constricted to using a specific weapon, and it went on for a bit too long for my taste. HOWEVER, fucking Burt Reynolds!? Holy shit, awesome.

. I've been trying to urge as many people as possible to buy this game heh.

Dual fully upgraded Deathblossoms is insanity. Its like having a chaingun you don't have to wind up. You only need to think about squeezing the trigger to make things die.

That, maxed sprint, homie vehicle delivery and max grenade count upgrades are the things I couldn't live without.

I saved the second (bad) ending for last and.... man that ending was awesome. I mean... yeah some seriously sucky stuff happens there but it's counterbalanced by an AMAZING sequel setup. Oh man, that was awesome.

Definitely, without a doubt, the greatest open world game this gen.

Hmm... I just got this for PC. I tried to play it with a 360 gamepad but it seemed like it took input from both, mouse and gamepad at the same time messing up the aiming. Can you disable mouse and keyboard in this game?

Nah, it just does that. Keep playing with the pad and it will switch the appropriate button labels back in.

Happens to me if I nudge the mouse or shift-tab the Steam overlay. I reckon it used to take a lot longer for the button icons to change back, sometimes needing a restart. It must've been patched.

It is fun though... so at $30 w/ a free copy of Saints Row 2 I couldn't pass it up.

Pfft if you think SR3 isn't pretty, you may not even want to load up SR2. I love both games but SR3 I feel is at least keeping up with other open world games now (I actually think it looks really good); but SR2 was behind the curve when it came out.

Just finished it. The last two hours of the game are very fun. Other than that I thought it merely okay.
Guess I'm not the target demographic with these kind of open world games any more.

I also didn't think too highly of Saints Row 2.

For the person that asked how long the campaign was: took me a little less than 10 hours.

Just got my platinum, thank god that police forgiveness works on the vehicle theft missions. Honestly the most fun with a game I've had all year. There were some minor map and mission glitches that were usually solved by saving and reloading, but nothing too bad. I liked SR2's soundtrack more though they get some good mileage out of some of the songs in this one, especially

I played as an alien looking guy mostly then switched over later to get the gender equality trophy. Here they are, featuring some dead gang member whose ragdoll was going crazy.

First, go to uploads and make the photos public and save. Then, go to community, map, and "My Map." You should see a screenshots option which will let you choose from your public screenshots on the map. Then save them as .jpgs or whatever.

It's pretty neat that the map shows where you took each picture.

It is super roundabout. OneLetter says they'll be improving the site over time, hope they make it so you can go full screen from the My Uploads section.

It's about on par with the unmodded GTA IV port on the PC, IMHO. It's a huge step up from SR2.

The only mission that really gave me some trouble was an Escort on hard. Those news vans get damn annoying, and if you flip the car it's over.

Snatch was probably the most consistently annoying though.

Excellent. I have yet to have a single issue with it. My only gripes are with the game itself and nothing that is platform specific. Overall, though I think the game is incredible fun.

Here is a fun mod i have made, it includes:

Skating: Crouching on steroids.

Vtol: Hover up or down a lot faster.

RC: Distance is unlimited, fun in co-op fly your co-op partner over the island or start hijacking vehicles and drive them anywhere thanks zoum and spoon

Fast swimming: Ehm yeah swim fast!

Professor Genki's Super Ballistic Manapult: Shoot yourself or another from one side of the island to the other side. (fun)
Hidden island: Go visit Saints Row hidden island, found by me and a lot easier to explore thanks to Corrodias!
As always, place the files inside the root of your Saints Row, the one with your .exe

Noooo, steam wouldn't let me play without updating and now my game is freezing. Gotta go modless it seem. I won't do it. Hope the modders update.

Also skate was awesome. I think that latest mod works on the new update but something that I had installed make my game freeze. Doing integrity thing on steam to try and get it back to stock or whatever, then install mods one at a time.

I've had STAG guys I've been fighting suddenly have their bodies sink into the ground halfway. Pretty funny. They continued to fire at me too!

I have to say. This is the most fun I've had with a game all year. I've certainly played better games but I have a soft spot for this one. I think it's going to be the first game I ever platinum. And that's a testament to how just purely fun this game is. Every single thing I would want from a sandbox shooter this game does.

The only mission I didn't quite enjoy was the cleaning up the zombies for Burt Reynolds. The fact I had unlimited sprint by that point and they removed it is puzzling and frustrating.

How many more missions do I have left after Murder Brawl? I want to clean up everything before I finish.

Not many. Two or three I think? Also after the credits roll you're thrust right back into the world, so you can finish it up then if you want.
