SaltyBet's Dream Cast Casino Thread 2 - Always bet on DBZ

Holy shit, another Felix upset.

Felix really hates cheaters. (He just beat fake Nail with 1:122 Odds)

Felix scares me a bit. Very hard to pin down. I refuse to bet on or against him. lol

SNK bosses getting me out of the triple digits this afternoon while I watch football. I had awful luck with upsets happening to me trying to climb out of it yesterday.

Mega Upset:

Cheapest kfm!!! - $5686214, Wriggle - $18898 (300.8:1, and yes, Potato Touhou Wriggle)

Cheapest Kfm kills in 1 hit and has crazy health/invulnerability frames, BUT on certain frames it goes down in 1 hit... Wriggle managed to hit it 3 times.

Just discovered SaltyBet yesterday.

This is so much fun to watch with friends. We start screaming like lunatics...more exciting than any sport ever.

This is so much better with matchmaking. So many real matches.

edit: bahahahaha...someone is going to lose a lot on 261:1 odds.

crazymanslayer -> $2727594 (Σ$2727594)
DWho -> $1617755 (Σ$1617755)
Futahri -> $223626 (Σ$223626)
Futanahri -> $206205 (Σ$206205)

Who thought Doruge would ever lose?

I pop in everynow and then. At first I thought it was some kind of online gambling platform for fighting games. Turns out it is mostly mugen sim figts for fake currency. It is fun to watch and participate in. A lot of time a character has one or two broken moves, if the AI can spam them they win. Also don't take the topic titles advice DBZ character often lose.

Matchmaking? So like hard, soft, or occasional?

Yeah, I had a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad feeling about that fight. Only bet 10%. Smart move. :p

Guess he changed the names around to make it easier to tell characters apart? Googoo's Antman is now named "Antman 64" and there was an Evil Ryu now just named Ryu Evil.

Matchmaking and The Compendium were just added.

How does matchmaking work?
There are currently 4 tiers, which are listed in order of win percentage respectively: S Tier, A Tier, B Tier, and P Tier. Characters are matched up against other characters within their tier.

Tiers are based on character win percentage. All active characters will be tiered once a day, and the active tier list is viewable in the compendium. The tiering process simply ranks each character's win percentage from highest to the lowest and places them in the appropriate tier.

What is the compendium?
The Compendium is a feature that allows you to see the full Salty Bet roster as well as the tier each character belongs to. In addition to viewing this information, you can use the Compendium to make minor adjustments to each character. Currently, you can spend your Salty Bucks to increase or decrease a character's health, or to increase/decrease the amount of meter they start each round with. You must first unlock the character before changing its stats (S Tier, A Tier, and B Tier). P Tier (potato) characters do not need to be unlocked. Instead of unlocking P Tier characters, they can instead be permanently deleted from the roster using your Salty Bucks.

A life increase/decrease of 20 represents a 2% change in health for most characters (base 1000), and a meter upgrade of 100 is roughly 10% of a single meter. You must be a member of the Salty Illuminati to use the Compendium.

Also, character names are now displayed when betting again, and according to the chat deleting P-Tier characters costs ten million Salty Bucks.

such a huge update. There are finally going to be less potato matches! Salty Bet is going to be way more fun now.

The matchmaking algorithm is weighted so that S Tier matches show up more often than A Tier matches, A Tier more than B Tier, and B Tier more often than P Tier.

I'm still mad I lost most of my money on the Remilia vs Fake ass flash match. My only consolation is I saved myself 3k, but fuck that match. Also 3k is such chunk change to me now.

I love and hate this matchmaking... so many awesome fights, so much money lost. And the worst part of all, Waifus are failing for the first time ever!

Meh I'm personally starting to lose interest because of this update. It killed most of the fun for me (no more massive upsets like Wriggle vs Cheap KFM, no more fake characters) and also now that I'm spoiled on close fights I'm finding the close fights are now boring.

I won't miss the fake characters at all honestly, yeah sometimes it was funny but christ I lost too much money on that shit sometimes.

Just started a few days ago...making some good headway tonight. Up to $63782. Gotta know when to bet on those underdogs!

edit: going to a house party on Saturday. I need suggestions for a drinking Salty Bet game. Could just drink on a loss...but that might get people drunk a bit too fast, heh.

Hmmm...maybe half shots.

$176k. I'm so scared that I'll end up in the salt mines on a stupid all-in one of these days.

Heh, I've been playing every now and then for about two months, and so far I've never broken 30K...

I think the new matchmaking system is nice, as matches are a lot less unfair than before, making bets not as obvious as they used to be most of the time. The odds aren't as crazy as they used to be, but it's somewhat easier to win if you know the characters and their match-ups (and if the AIs decide to play in a way that benefits you, as well).

$245k! Won $73K. Thank you based Gaiban.

Too bad I didn't bet more, but I'm trying not to be greedy.

edit: slowly recovering from a stupid bet. Misread the stats and ended up betting $150K on an obvious loss. Oh well...back up to $232K. Shame...could have been over 400K by now.

Yo! Finally Pw reset is fixed. The thought of having my EternalFlame name back is great but i have so little money on it after checking it I dunno if its worth going back to. Wonder if salty can do account mergers?
