Yeah, I was expecting Sandman to do a lot better. I lost $50 on that match ... At least I made it back (and then some) right after.

well fuck, cause this sandman was identical to the beast ones I have seen earlier. no name discrepancies and the sprite was identical.
 
I'm not watching right now, I had no idea there was a fake Sandman...

I don't have Illumaniti access so I don't know how the records page works, is someone able to verify that there are multiple Sandmans listed or anything like that? Seems weird.

No, what makes things intentionally confusing is that there are multiple versions of characters with the same name, so it can be a real gamble to bet hard on a character, like the Sandman upset we saw earlier.

I knew there was a fake Sandman, but I didn't remember until it was too late. Fake Sandman never does the throw real Sandman does (where the opponent is projected through his stomach) and fake Sandman is the only one who does that Spiderman antagonist super and the one that envelops the screen with sand where his fists go through the ground.

So the stat page makes no distinction, there's just two different listings for "Sandman"? That's fucked haha.

Also what the hell is everyone going on about, everyone's bailing because of that match or what?
 
haha wow I bet like 50 on ryu because I didn't know no better. I saw the odds and wandered off without bothering to watch past the first round.

came back and saw I had won over 3k and thought saltybet had glitched til I checked back in the thread
 
I think the first Sandman I saw was the the ass one, so the second time I bet against him and it was high tier Sandman, then every next Sandman I saw was the high tier one, I just thought he dropped the fake one.
 
Regarding Fake Sandman, supposedly the fake sandman is lower rez and has a rougher framerate than real Sandman. Granted this is a very minor difference, so it will probably be best to just be cautious about betting on Sandman from now on.
