I finally figured it out. My PeerBlock was blocking some part of Saltybet, which it shouldn't be doing since I have "Block HTTP" turned off. So what is Saltybet using outside of just Chrome itself?
(I don't even know why I still run PeerBlock at all, really. I haven't torrented anything in AGES now. Just out of habit I guess.)
