Welp, bittersweet ending aside (They really pulled a TTGL), that was great. Season was great. It was definitely rushed at several points, but damn it, I'm just glad I finally got a conclusion to this tale.

Our childhoods have officially ended!

I'm gonna be honest here, I felt like this final episode was rushed, especially the vanishing scene.

Still really enjoyed this season though, I'm glad they brought it back one more time.

I remember Simon looking up at the sky as other pilots take over the role. Someone dies as well, right? Nia?

Nia even dies pretty much the exact same way that Ashi did. By defeating the main villain, neither of them could exist for very long after the final battle and end up vanishing into thin air in the middle of their wedding ceremony.

No, because he killed Aku after he was sent to the future. It's a stable time loop.

No, it's mixing up rules. If it was a stable loop then Ashi shouldn't have disappeared. It was Ashi that allowed Jack to time travel back to the past. So if killing Aku causes Ashi to never exist then Jack also shouldn't have been able to time travel and the paradox should have torn the universe apart.

The ending music swell gave me goosebumps.

My kudos Samurai Jack. This season had its bumps, but I'm so glad to have had the chance to see it through.

No it's not. If Aku dies right after Jack is sent to the future then Jack never has to deal with Aku in the future because he shouldn't exist, meaning he'd never go on all those adventures and then go back in time to kill Aku.

yeah that would have made for a way better series finale

I don't remember them.
Neither do I. Huh.

I think it would have been better if he defeated Aku in the future, and stayed there.
Same here. He really didn't have much of a reason to go back to the past.

Well, his end goal was always to make his friends never exist in the first place.
That's messed up, man.

NOT UNTIL MEGAS AND SYM-BIONIC TITAN GET THEIR TURNS =(

All this time travel talk almost makes me want a series that involves it to end with the collapse of its universe. People would hate it but depending on the tone of the show, it could fit.

A bit rushed, but I'm satisfied with what they managed to pull off. Not sure about how bittersweet it was.

Its been very fun discussing with you all. We got garden laganned but I still think it was very enjoyable ending. Was this one of the last shows on the old Cartoon Network to receive an actual ending? It feels like the end of an era.

I'm surprised jack didn't realize that during the battle because things could have been rebuilt , he and Ashi could have lived and had a family
Oh Jack, you fucked up

Yeah but then every death that had occurred since then would have been permanent. His goal was to undo all of the damage that Aku had done since then. By killing Aku in the past, everybody lives.

It's been a great ride, everyone.

So doom humanity for some chick? Come on people.
Not for one chick, there was in fact a world in aku timeline with plenty of good. I think the writers should have moved forward with that timeline with all the bad Aku did but with the hope that now things can get better. Doesn't feel right to erase everything like that imo

Honestly, while I think it was the right call for the series to end on a bittersweet note, I think it would have been far wiser to go the opposite route than what Genndy chose.

I'd have had Jack kill Aku in the future and accept that he ultimately can't go back to the past. Hell, they could have even foreshadowed some angst for Jack in the long run by him still being immortal since he's permanently stuck in the future.

Still, I get what Genndy went with and why he went the route that he did.

The more consistent thing would have been for Ashi to not disappear. She came from an alternate timeline. She needs to continue to exist for the whole time loop to work.

That's messed up, man.

Jack seeing the ladybug at the very end reminds me of the part of the game Life is Strange where (major ending spoilers):
(assuming the player went with this ending choice) Chloe dies and Max sees the blue butterfly land on her coffin. Now I have to listen to this. :(

Depending on your standard of "old" Cartoon Network, Codename: Kids Next Door had a proper ending.

Something will replace Aku in this new timeline, could be even worse than Aku
I'd just take the mini W and rebuild society in this current world

Or nothing will happen, we just don't know

Ashi should have sent Jack to the future before they met before she disappeared, end of series
