Saudi Arabia to sue anyone who compares their justice system to ISIS

Saudi Arabia will sue any Twitter user who compares the Kingdom’s recent decision to execute a poet to punishments handed down by Isis.

Ashraf Fayadh, a 35-year-old Palestinian poet, was sentenced to death for apostasy – renouncing one’s faith – by a court in Abha on 17 November, according to documents seen by Human Rights Watch.

The sentence has provoked widespread condemnation, not only from international human rights organisations but also from legions of Twitter and other social media users.

They claimed the Kingdom’s courts would not hesitate to put on trial "any media that slandered the religious judiciary of the Kingdom".

This all is just ridiculous...

OP is missing a "sentence me to 100 lashes if old" sentence:

ahahah
They can try.

edit:
Just to make it clear to eveyone who didn't know...

I hereby compare the judicial system of Saudi Arabia to ISIS.

How could it not be the same. Both are built on the same foundation.

Well, Good luck with that lol. I really want to see people on twitter challenge those backwards thinking assholes. The Saudi government is one of the most corrupt in this world, and I can't wait until I see it fall apart one day and the Saudi people get their freedom.

edit: Not just the Saudi people, but almost everyone in the middle east. They are responsible for a lot of the suffering that is going on right now in Yemen, Syria and Iraq.

Many Arabs are already doing that and I am one of them.

The Saudi regime hasn't been as much of a roadblock to progress as Saudi Arabia's clergy.

Pretty much. If you read a bit on SA history, you see how the islamist scholars constantly criticized the kingdom for being too close to the west and stirred constant infighting inside it, arriving at even killing people in a large-scale terrorist attack inside the holy Mecca. Large part of nowaday's rules are simply a way to preserve more stability inside the kingdom, as absurd as that sound. As long as Wahabbism exist, i'm not even sure the kingdom can become a normal place ever.

Wow. Can someone publish a list of the things you can do in Saudi Arabia or ISIS that don't get you killed?

I wonder if they cut your dick off for jaywalking?

Yeah. The monarchy is forced to uphold its image as the custodian of Islams holiest places and thus prime representative of the faith. It's their main bulwark against Arab nationalist movements. That gives the clergy the power to demand the enforcement of their Islamic lunacy. And they probably still have plenty of support among the population.

Why the question mark? You get your ass beat for jaywalking over here. Does Isis even consider it a crime? I assume they have other more important concerns.

I thought you were comparing the US and ISIS/SA in general, not just related to jaywalking. My bad, I missed the sarcasm.

It's not policy to beat people for jaywalking. Get your head out of your ass.
