Then they should just make Destiny 3.PVE doesn't need to just be a "bunny hill", it could be a legit mode with varied enemies, bosses, raids, etc
Marathon should be for their PvP audience.

which stage of grief is this?
So in other words, make The Division, something I said right when it came out and got blasted for saying it.Cryo is awesome, so not sure what you on about there. Maybe an Easy and Hard mode for it would help. It needs to be more accessible for normal people. The boss anyway. Ive extracted on my first time, but it was lucky as shit.
But some of the other stuff you mentioned can be used. Keep the blood. Its good to spot and shows signs.
I dont need more music in the game, the sound and music is good.
-A PVE map with optional PVP zones like the Lockdowns in Dire Marsh etc would be good. Its simple to do for Bungie. You get less Rare loot, but will let people do PVE, and dab in PVP if they want to stay in or go the lockdown zone. So they can do this with Perimeter and DireMarsh, and a new map.
-Training mode. Solo or crews. PVE, check the map out, die, respawn, play, no loot. People get to try the top gear they find and enjoy it here before losing it lol
-Beginner mode for people lower than level 10. Get 1 self revive, can use dcon to extract items before exfil, PVE with Ai runners. Gets beginners use to the game, solo and crews
-Easy and Hard Cryo modes.
-Make Proxy better. Maybe be able to communication to people close by, or the whole map. Theres been some good times, people in proxy linked up. I didnt even know the med drone can be picked up. Its my sign of a truce lol
- Announce Destiny 3 to stop those haters. We all know there making it, might as-well say it.
- A story campaign tying in the last trilogy to current Marathon. Doesnt even have to be long. 1.5/3 hours. Can be played offline.
- After that they get to do 30 factions Runs, (online or offline) can be against Ai runners, coop, not super loot, but lets people build vault and get use to the game before jumping into the main mode.
-And whatever else the hardcore want. Im happy with the game mostly as a casual online gamer. I'd like another map, night modes for Perimeter and Dire Marsh would be cool. Another Cryo/Marathon map soon would be great. And an easier mode for Cryo, because the route to the boss, and boss, its a tough one, especially with PVP
And maybe some kind of insurance so i can use my favourite gear a couple times before losing it, dont mind paying way more for it, I guess its psychological lol. So if your gear cost 5k, you pay 25k to use it 2/3 times.
The game is easier during the weekend, when pro's are playing ranked and cryo. So some better match making in the week would be cool. Im having much more equal gunfights and getting alot done with factions and map side missions, both solo and crew since ranked started.
Things that never happened part 1.I realised i only enjoyed the game while I wasn't sober.
That's when I decided not to go through with buying it, because it was a game I just enjoyed because my mind was absent and nothing else.
?Things that never happened part 1.
Which one's piqued your interest?I disagree with most if your suggestions.
Stella Montis is the worst map in ARC Raiders. It's the most fun when all you're craving is PvP.For starters Cryo has been out a week and you don't know the layout. Just like you hated Stella Montis until you didn't.
You change your mind more often than I change my undies and thats around twice a week.
If you can enjoy one if the most sweatiest pvp games to come out in the last twenty years when your pissed then you must be some sort of gaming god when sober.?
Why couldn't it happen? Not like I said I enjoyed playing the game only when I was skydiving off a car that drove off a ramp over the grand canyon.
Literally said i only enjoyed the game while I wasn't sober. How does that "never happened" in your mind?
It has some issues but as you know i heavily disagree with you.So I just wonder what the hell everyone was thinking when they decided this is good enough to ship. It's not.
So in other words, make The Division, something I said right when it came out and got blasted for saying it.
Of course this is correct. There's just not enough here and it's all super sweaty and niche. There was no way this was going to work. Look at what Sony just did releasing a fully featured multiplayer mode for Yotei that quite frankly seems to be in the same league content wise as Marathon, is also attached to a 50 hour game, and has better cosmetics and more flexibility for difficulty and stuff. So I just wonder what the hell everyone was thinking when they decided this is good enough to ship. It's not.
It's a finished game mode, that a very small number of people like and there is no chance of making its money back.It has some issues but as you know i heavily disagree with you.
I fail to see why you think it wasn't ready to ship. It does exactly what it set it to do. Why it's not very popular is another discussion but it is absolutely a finished product.
You just don't like it and that's fine.
NeoGAF, don't you ruin this thread. Some of us actually enjoy discussing game design. Keep your tomfoolery to the threads where it's permitted.
The game isn't going to get to 100k concurrent players or sell a million copies with a few gameplay tweaks.NeoGAF, don't you ruin this thread. Some of us actually enjoy discussing game design. Keep your tomfoolery to the threads where it's permitted.
Thats not my problem. It's a finished game mode, that a very small number of people like and there is no chance of making its money back.
That's the problem. The base gameplay is good, but when you drop $250 million on a live service game it needs to appeal to a lot of people and be sustainable long term.
Lmao I just played during the server slam, like every day it was available. And no, I wasn't doing well at all. But i really enjoyed just going back out and trying my luck over and over and over.If you can enjoy one if the most sweatiest pvp games to come out in the last twenty years when your pissed then you must be some sort of gaming god when sober.

FF14 was redesigned and remade entirely from scratchWhy not, games like FF14 made great comebacks. This wont reach that because its alot more niche, but they can easily add a few things to help.
Plus if they keep with the Ip and release some remakes, it could bring in more players. Its up to them, but they made a good game. Just very unforgiving and competitive.
This was never meant to be Destiny 3, its there hardcore game. But Im guessing they thought it would do better.

No, not going anywhere.Does it need saving? Has there been indication from Sony it will be shut down?
Yep. It's like asking a bunch of women how they'd make Peter Sutcliffe more appealing. Why are you posting this on a forum where the vast majority of the users want the game dead![]()
Sure it's your problem, if they shut down the game or stop updating it you are the one who is hurt by that, Whereas if they built out a full featured game that drew in a large audience there would be no worry.Thats not my problem.
Not sure what idiot thought it was a good idea to spend 250 million dollars on a hardcore extraction shooter but thats what they did, and they did it very well.
It is what it is. Its scalable enough to reduce the team size and earn a reasonable income if they choose to do so. They'll never get the initial investment back but like i said who give a shit? If it shuts down in 6 months or a year it'll be a damn shame as its a brilliant extraction game, not a mode.
The nature of Live Service is too unpredictable to make such a claim. The game isn't going to get to 100k concurrent players or sell a million copies with a few gameplay tweaks.
I guarantee you nobody at Bungie has this mentality. The current state of the game does not have to be the final state of the game. Live Service is about building before release AND after release. It's like asking a bunch of women how they'd make Peter Sutcliffe more appealing.
Because a game like FF14 appealed to the masses, this appeals to a teeny tiny audience
Any example of a live service game that has exploded in popularity some months from launch? The nature of Live Service is too unpredictable to make such a claim.
Yes and thats why I said not as big. This isnt a MMO. But it can make a small improvements, especially if they add options to the game that dont ruin the core game and distrupt what the fanbase loves.
They have a good game. And the combat and gunfights are amazing. Just either ends in enjoyment or agony. Its harsher than souls or some roquelikes.
It can be called one of the best extraction shooters, they done a fine job, but it doesnt appeal and is frustrating to alot of people. And thats why its a niche genre.
Like I said before, they can make some small changes to be more appealing without killing the core game and fanbase. PVE maps for perimeter and diremarsh with pvp lockdowns. And some single player/coop runs against ai bots and pve. Training mode etc. Or if they want to really invest, make a small campaign tying the old games to this.
I hope they keep to their word and stick to the game because its great and the IP has potential to branch out to more
Go to Steam and look at the top 10 most played games on the platform. Then go look at what their numbers were when they initially launched.Any example of a live service game that has exploded in popularity some months from launch?
Cant think of one
There's been questions as to what the minimum CCU is for this game to stay aliveDoes it need saving? Has there been indication from Sony it will be shut down?

Im not worried or hurt by a videogame that might cease to exist at some point in the future what makes you think that? Im not 12. I'll just play something else.Sure it's your problem, if they shut down the game or stop updating it you are the one who is hurt by that, Whereas if they built out a full featured game that drew in a large audience there would be no worry.
They stuck to the vision, made a challenging and engaging game. It isnt for everyone, it is not a single player game. PVE only would get shallow quickly, after everyone figures out the runs. That's the beauty of this, the unknown of every match is the PVP aspect.Im not worried or hurt by a videogame that might cease to exist at some point in the future what makes you think that? Its a fully featured extraction shooter, If you want a single player mode or campaign ir some arena shooter then just play something else, theres plenty on the market.
Have you seen how much COD costs these days to develop what you are asking for? And that is basically a reskin every year.
This is a PVPVE extraction shooter and priced accordingly. If its not for you then thats fine like i said. Personally i think its the best thing they have put out in years.
How would anyone know that? How long is a piece of string? There's been questions as to what the minimum CCU is for this game to stay alive
sony doesnt need to come out and say that they'll take the game offline if the CCU drops below a certain point but that's common sense
I'm curious what people think the bare minimum CCU needed is to keep this game online
It's not free to run and is yet to be profitable
Yeah but it hasn't got a single player mode ffs! Yeah no shit its a fucking hardcore extraction shooter. They stuck to the vision, made a challenging and engaging game. It isnt for everyone, it is not a single player game. PVE only would get shallow quickly, after everyone figures out the runs. That's the beauty of this, the unknown of every match is the PVP aspect.
But to me they don't have a good game, so it's why it's failing. As I said before the fans like the game which is fine, and to them it's a good game but to me it's not, it's ugly, it's weird and not in a good weird I love weird shit but not like this, it's way to nonstop sweaty I don't need that shit.. I explained it before I have many hard platinums, accomplished plenty in harder pvp environments I don't run from challenging games but on same note I don't run at them it is of no appeal to me.
But that's my stance and seems many others stances, it's just not a good game in our minds and the numbers to me I feel show more feel that way.
Good games have no issue getting the numbers, so they'd already be there if they were.
This game for me honestly is so ugly I couldn't even fathom wasting time in it, that's just me tho.. It's a harsh opinion but it's my opinion. Cool factor and cool guns, characters etc.. Is a huge reason I love to game that game is the ugliest game I can think of in the last 15 20 years or more
