Ghostface looks OP as hell. Looks like a major step up from 5 which was already good. There is a red band trailer but it spoil what looks like to be a pretty major death so enjoy the obviously cut out fucks.

Ehhh. I'll watch it but I dunno if I'm a fan of the making Ghostface some sort of nigh-unkillable superhero a la Michael Myers. Guy just straight up anime vanished from a point-blank shotgun blast. He was just dudes wearing rubber masks at one point. The "make the mask look all tatty because dark" doesn't do anything for me either.

Still, I enjoyed 5 for what it was, whatever, I'll give it a go.

It makes a lot of sense for the film for the mask to look that way, considering who the heroine is. I dunno, it all works for me. And fuck yeah at that shotgun dodge! Ghostface matrixing it out there.

It's all a bit self-serious for me for a franchise rooted in directly mocking this stuff, but yeah, I can't pretend I'm not gonna watch it. Same with the new Evil Dead, no point complaining early when it's going straight on my downloads anyway.

Looks like dumb action scenes overload. Also didn't Hayden Panettiere's character die in Scream 4 or am I remembering it wrong? (haven't seen Scream 5 if that makes a difference)

While these movies are not unexciting, they are getting pretty silly. I mean, the same shit occurs with the same characters. It is like they can just keep replacing these Ghostface killers.

People must surely be surprised we have gotten a whole franchise out of this repetition. I mean, it probably isn't as dumb as Jason's many returns and temporary deaths, but it has to be close.

5 was mildly entertaining but pretty meh overall. I did like how brutal the Ghostface killers were. This looks like more of that and better.
