All joking aside, my NES games would look better on that until I get my NES RGB modded (which won't be for a little while, want to buy mor retro games first).

My piggy bank has been emptied, but it's no longer the "Upscaler" fund, it's now the "Panzer Dragoon Saga" fund, which unfortunately is about the same price.

god, yes
genesis, some N64 & NES, few other scenes you can get some greats for about what current gen pays on PSN/XBL stuff, but too many games all over in the triple digit realm

Haven't played Truxton. Gaires was harder but for dumb reasons. Mainly that it's difficult to see enemy bullets.

Yeah I'm really happy I decided to stop by the Goodwill. It was the only one they had. Gonna need to get an Svideo cable. I played 4 levels of Zombies Ate My Neighbors and it was so satisfying. You guys were right about the size too!

Konami's output on the Sega Genesis is some of the best on the console. Hard Corps, Hyperstone Heist, Rocket Knight, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Animaniacs, Sunset Riders... They were on fire back then.

some developers took advantage of composite to rely on dithering and shit but on the real I simply prefer RGB. Pros outweigh the cons, and that Genny composhit is nasty as fuck.

I never actually owned the original Genesis. My brother and I didn't get a Genesis until later with the model 2 release. (I did have a Game Gear before that though to get in my Sega gaming.) Had a lot of fun playing against my brother on the Genesis. Later I picked up a 32x, which was a waste as I didn't really use it and the following year I got a Saturn.

I still have a fondness for the model 2 and when I re-bought a Mega Drive after coming to Japan, I picked up a model 2. Later I picked up the original model, which is now my main system.

Still need to pre-order that Genesis/Mega Drive book!

I'll take that into consideration. That metal rack has wire shelving where the wires are like 3 inches apart, the sides are wide open and the back has a lot of space with a gap in the back of the desk for head to leave.

fake edit: I checked the DC and the fan's on the right side and wide open to air circulation, so I think I'm okay. I also have a backup DC.

After screwing with this avermedia extremecap u3 for literally a full day I've got it up and running. Really happy with the quality I can get out of it. This is running through the mini at 720p. The scanlines are actually intact with this unlike with the el gato game capture hd.

Anyone ever play Master of Monsters on Genesis? Great music and addictive strategy game. The Playstation Master of Monsters sucked though.

Centurion Defender of Rome was decent on the Genesis as well. Trying to get Cleopatra to form an alliance and even get her in bed with you was amusing.

I still play the Shining Force games at times. Hard to believe the system is 25 years old. Seems like yesterday I was a kid playing it. ;(
