so a few more days till the end of march... i know Jake From State Farm is busy selling his home and packing stuff away... but whenever he gets back i'm excited to hear the game for next month =)

Yeah, I know, 216 is so few...
Seriously though, only real-hardware impressions count, not emulation! And I do not have flash carts.
Warsong's was longer than I expected, but it's an interesting game.

Most of my games are PAL versions but I've been buying Genesis versions of some games lately. My plan is to eventually pick up a Genesis but so far they're playable on my Mega Drive as well. Except for Thunderforce II. I was surprised it doesn't work but can't test it on a Genesis yet. When I start the game I only get a black screen. Not sure if this means I can't play the game on my console or if it's defective.

It's defective. I played Thunderforce II US on my french Megadrive for years, the games aren't region locked (they came out before they existed).
I was afraid of that
Guess I have to find another copy of that game now. The other games work perfectly at least. I'm really bad at Ghouls'n Ghosts blast processed

Batman is good, but it's easy & I enjoyed Blaster Master 2

I've been wanting The Terminator because playing it on a phone emulator makes the last level too tough (impossible to make precise jumps with touch controls), Garaies is one of the holy grails of Genesis collecting, and Viewpoint was a freebie thrown in by the store.

Nice, I love Viewpoint. A good port of the Arcade version. Music and Boss battles are cool.
I picked up a few titles at my local store today. Got jungle book, eswat, target earth and whip rush.
Saw the death and return of Superman but they had it at 100 CIB which is steep to me for a single player beat em up. Rather get Hyperstone Heist if I'm going to spend that much money

I haven't played it before but I like it so far. Almost feels like a bit of puzzle elements to it.
I suck at Gaiares but its reputation is well deserved.
Still can't get past the last level of Terminator *cries*

That is what I was thinking. Lots of momentum for that one here in recent months. Got a CIB copy locally for 20 bucks Canadian so I can't complain.

Eswat huh? Never played it. Guess I'll look into picking it up. I'm certainly never going to beat Revenge of Shinobi.
But Revenge is so good!
Yeah I gave up on Revenge pretty early too. Want to beat it eventually, but prioritized Guardian Legend this month (without much success there either though).
Btw, where can I get extender cables for Mega Drive/Genesis? Raphnet doesnt seem to carry them.

Oh yeah, I quite like it. I'll continue to play it for some time to come. I really like the Shinobi games. A late discovery for me since I didn't grow up with any Sega systems. I really wish the original arcade game would have been ported to the Genesis. Seems odd they never did that. All the console ports of it seem crappy. I can always play it on the Ultimate Genesis Collection, though.

Is Gaiares getting rare? I got a CIB copy in 2014 for like 15$
Yes I think so. I see it locally here for 50 Canadian loose, or 75 to 100 CIB. I got a loose copy for around 20 within the last three years and it's not in great shape.
I think it is one of the better Rennovation titles and that box art is so sexy.

missed a moving sale boxed copy of Lightening Force for $1 on craigslist! ah well, another guy has a cardboard boxed (presumably no manual) Shining Force 2 for $40...tempting, but i'd really just be buying for the box, which is silly

Finally beat The Terminator. I was making the mistake of getting it down to the torso form right away instead of waiting until I got to the crusher.
That is a really cool recreation of the T1 ending. Heh, I still have the T2 Arcade Game in its box, from since it came out.
This is what i picked up, and it doesnt seem like it matters at all.

I know when I think Rennovation, I think ship shooter.... Not platformer myself.
I love that game and it's getting super expensive.
Yeah, I noticed that. Hard to justify some of these prices coming up on lesser known titles but that is part of the fun.
I beat Shadow Dancer for the first time today though. Tough game, one hit deaths are frustrating especially with some of the off screen stuff in the later levels but it does balance out. I really liked the statue of liberty elevator level and boss fight.
The boss fights were really good. I almost preferred them over Revenge of Shinobi. I think I might take a break from ninjas for a bit before tackling Shinobi III. This month has been a bit of an overdose.

I'm really interested in the Renovation-published games. Sounds like it would be good to collect them. Are most pretty good? Any real bombs in there?
Made it to 3-2 in Revenge pretty easily last night. Just takes tons of practice -- which is time I really don't have these days. Getting ready to buckle down with some stuff at work and much of my evening free time will be sucked up in the coming weeks....

They had a number of FMV games on the Sega CD, which are love or hate.
For Genesis carts, Beast Wrestler is pretty shitty, Dino Land is okay but I'm a sucker for video pinball. Can't really think of any other duds from them.
Scored my first Mega Drive cartridge for my recently acquired Genesis. Perhaps I should have gotten something with less Japanese text, but one of the saves (yes, the battery still works after 20+ years) is at the Dark Sol battle so I can cheese my way to "beat" it.

Good ending is more rewarding though, anyone can get the "bad" ending but it takes skill to get the good one.
