yeah, i know the censored stuff is embarrassing, but i still enjoyed beating the port back in the day...solid b-tier beat-em-up! still, i felt like i was jump-kicking like 90% of the time, haha

It's one of those rare cases where the US art blows the JPN art out of the water.
It's a lovely spring morning outside, but I'm hunkered down inside playing this demo/beta of Wolfenstein 3D. The framerate is a bit slower than the PC version, but otherwise it's really good, much more impressive than other FPS games on the system. Shame it is only the first episode, but at the higher difficulty, there's still a good amount of gameplay to be had here. And it is fully uncensored, unlike the neutered SNES version.

I wouldn't have bought a reproduction of that game until it was finished, seeing as the author has been working on the later episodes (well, was; video evidence exists, ROM evidence does not).
I received the original revision of the Model 1 Sega Genesis in the mail today! 
However, I noticed that there is a LOUD humming noise when I play games on it. It didn't do that with my other Model 1 Sega Genesis (the VA7). Any ideas on what that could be?
I did a recording of it through my video capture and it did go through there. Is it maybe a power supply issue?

It also doesn't sound that clear on my tv when playing as it does on here and sounds like a bad emulator. I think it might be a power supply issue or a bad connection. What do you guys think?

I'd guess it's the plug, too. I bought a multi-system 3rd party plugs as a replacement for my missing genesis plug then needed to take it back and exchange it for a used original plug since it not only buzzed a little, but put noise in the image even though it was connected via RGB.

I went ahead and switched my adapter to 12V instead of 9, and the humming was gone and the sound was clear. I didn't keep it on for too long because I don't want to fry it or anything (a humming noise that wasn't as loud before did eventually appear), but I'm glad to know that it wasn't an issue with the Genesis itself.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask. Went ahead and binged on some Mega Drive games today and hooked up to my sound system it was marvelous. Right now I'm emulating and I use my Wii as it's the most familiar and seems perfect. I also have a PS3, is MD emulation on there any better or should I stick with my current setup (I really like the classic controller I should add)

Anywyas, I fixed the problem with my Model 1. Went down to a local RadioShack in the area and found a power supply that would fit the Model 1 I bought last week, and so far it has fixed the humming and sound problems.
Now I'm ready for some Blast Processing Sega Action and a couple of youtube ideas that I have! 8)

Level 5 keeps kicking my ass. I gotta quit drinking 2 Surlys and then playing. The Surlys also don't help with the last level of Bloodlines where all the weird screen effects kick in.
Golden Axe is still awesome. I can still mash my way through with Tyris and a few cheap positions/moves. I remember being gutted back in the day when I saved up 68 bucks to buy the game and then it glitched out during the final boss fight.

And back from another convention. I wanted to also pick up Spellcaster and Lord of the Sword, but they had no manuals so I skipped them. All these are pretty complete (Miracle Warriors has the map included). Excuse the few Nintendo games in there.

Bleh, didnt happen...but only because I got wrapped up in Panzer Dragoon Saga.
Not a bad game to get lost in for a while. I wish I could play that one again for the first time.
I should try to beat Eswat this week or weekend. I never got back to the swamp level. The stupid elevator part on level four keeps killing me. I cant avoid those stupid purple sperms this time around.

I don't know which are really close, but I recently received both my copies of Sub-Terrania (new! thanks gaf) and Flashback, so I hope one of them wins this month.

was bummed at never finding a deal on the JP saturn one, feels great to finally play it & have it looking even better!

Thought I grabbed this as a good deal from Amazon, but now I know why it was a cheap "16 bit cardtridge". It still smells and feels like the ink hasn't even dried from whatever Chinese sweatshop this came from. Hopefully it won't blow up my house!
I've gotten games that were a little off from the description, but never bootleg...how's the cart look?

Man, I don't know what's holding me from importing a N3DSXL (or just taking a closer look at homebrew/region-free gaming again, and see if/how it's evolved, since the last time I checked).

Mega Drive type shell but with cheap Genesis label. It feels really light. It came with a manual but the ink is smuged and they put some of the pages 4 to a page. I think the guy resold something he got from Aliexpress.
The game works ok though. I got to the middle if level 3 before tapping out.
Yup that's a boot...damn I'd get a refund asap 😕

Thought about it but it's only $15 so I just left bad feedback and reported him to Amazon. Me and the wife are going through a shitshow (to the point that lawyers may be getting involved) trying to get $250 back from a salon that screwed up her hair, refused to fix it, and then had the gall to have a paralegal posing as a lawyer leave several threatening messages on her voicemail. So I'm kind of burnt out right now dealing with shady people.
I have an EverDrive on the way so I think once that gets here I'm gonna limit my physical game buying to a couple of people I trust online and local stores.
Damn, that really sounds rough... well for what its worth, as far as Amazon goes...i've never run into an issue like that (usually either get more than what I expected if its a generic description, or pretty close to the description more or less). If I had a double, i'd send it your way.

I give up on ESWAT, I gave it a fair shake. Jet pack sections in level 4 are doing me in. I don't know what it is but I just don't like the way it controls, oh well.
Don't you mean level 5? I didn't have much problems with the jetpack controls.
