Feel the power, brother! An amazon seller sent this by mistake and said to just keep it. Not the best wrasslin game but I have fond memories of giving my friends the Writeoff with IRS.

Wait, first you bring up a game I forgot that I used to really want as a kid and then you show me it's a run and gun?!
*sigh*
*browses to ebay*
I didn't know Power Instinct was on Mega Drive. Is it any good? I really liked Groove On Fight.
Genesis shown to the American public for the first time, in Chicago at Summer CES.
Awesome! Love seeing all these old magazine articles and ads.
It's about time someone ask this, we want answers!!!AmyS, your scan are always so amazing. Thanks for posting them. Pardon me if this has been asked before, but what's the story there? Did you buy all these back in the day and keep them all this time? Are you on a collecting spree? Are you posting these scans online anywhere in sortable order?

AmyS said:I don't believe a scan of VG&CE's review of SMS Rambo III has ever been posted before.
The way that VG&CE pages typically start a review with one paragraph at the bottom left of a page, made a perfect fit for that intro gif
I should post a photo of a coin/token I still have from Sega World in Sydney. It's not as cool as the Genesis one, though. That 89 CES Genesis coin is hot. ARCADE GRAPHICS. ARCADE SOUND.
Thanks AmyS! Retromags.com was not on my radar. I'll have to check it out.
local shop has this... interested if it's any good! bought Granada, don't like it too much so far.Question for fans here: Does anyone know anything about the game Whip Rush? I bought it at a random market a few months ago and yet to fire it up, it just struck me as a weird find considering it's a US/JAP game and I found it in Australia. And I'd never heard of it before.
Hardly a "grail" find, but an interesting one. I did, however, buy one of my grail games in the same lot, a copy of Battle Squadron. Guess the guy who owned the stall loved his shmups.

Holy cow, that's more information than I could've asked for! Now I just need to work out how to get it going in my PAL MD, don't think I've ever tried playing an import game in it before. Know enough to find info online, but it'll take some tinkering.I really loved the stage 1 music in Whip Rush - Sky City
Some 1990 EGM & Mega Play previews, a fact-file and Mega Play's review.

I guess it's not that rare then, just rare in Australia given it never saw a PAL/EU release. I guess that's still kind of cool.
I was the first so far to have votes for Beyond Oasis, Ristar and Wonder Boy in Monster World. Come on Genesis-GAF, help me restore balance -)for some shameless promotion, the neogaf games of generation 4 voting thread is underway!: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1239228
Speaking of shooters... Man, I hate Curse. In my opinion, the absolute worst I've ever played on the Mega Drive - slow, choppy, visually appalling... - and the only one game I actually ended up selling for the system.
Curse (カース is a 1989 Sega Mega Drive shoot-'em-up, among the first on the system, by Micronet released exclusively in Japan. You play as a ship that has to save an alien planet from destruction caused by a neighboring planet that had mysteriously changed from friend to enemy over the course of centuries.
Curse was set to be released in North America by INTV Corporation, which had broken away from Mattel following the North American video game crash, and held the rights to the earlier Intellivision console. The game was one of the first non-Intellivision projects to be undertaken by the company (NES and Game Boy projects were also in development) and was announced in 1990, but despite being advertised, dated (for June 1990 and even reviewed, the North American version did not materialise.
Shmup-GAF, opinions on Vapor Trail's port for the MD/Genesis? Not on my 'most wanted' list, but I watched a couple of videos, recently, and it seems to play in quite an interesting way, with some proper classic MD-hype rocking soundtrack.

Curse is total crap. Everything is bad except the box art.
Also for some reason it's 30 fps, lol. It's shocking how bad that feels in a Genesis STG.
Indeed. It's sooooo choppy compared to Thunder Force II.
