September Wrasslin |OT| Team WWF vs. The World

I am! Keep going.

The Kane fan knows what he's talking about!

The Lord Tensei gimmick is actually a rare case of WWE understanding the culture, Tensei represents the disaster and his lord title is the show of respect that keeps him balanced, but WWE audiences fail to throw streamers at him when he wins matches (HAH! wins!) so Tensei became more agressive attacking his followers and losing his lordship title, subtle and strong storytelling from the WWE.

Hmmmmmm, your theories make sense.

Throwing streamers is done or allowed at matches by not all wrestling organizations in Japan.
Even one of the two major professional wrestling organizations in Japan, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, had ever prohibited spectators from throwing streamers at wrestlers until recently, while it has been one of features of the matches by the rival, All Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Though I have no idea whether it is true, the tradition of throwing streamers seems to have started around 1970 as Mitsubishi Electric, the sponsor of the prime-time program of the matches by Japan Pro-Wrestling, wanted to advertise the ability of its cleaner by vacuuming up the scattered streamers and ticker tapes. After Japan Pro-Wrestling separated into All Japan and New Japan, the tradition would be handed down to All Japan.

Anyway, spectators seem to throw streamers just to cheer their own favorite wrestlers or to pump up the hi-profile matches.

WTF, lol.

My newsletter brings historic facts, Kane storylines that end up making it to television, fantasy booking that's better than the real deal and in depth WWE ppv analysis every sunday afternoon before the event.

Net brings us petty hatred, one sentence reviews on something he doesn't watch and bizarre spelling that makes Sandow shake his head.

I should think the choice is obvious!
both!

But tensai is not a lord anymore. He lost his title

Exactly, the fans failed to play their part in the ritual with the streamers causing Tensei to become a raging Oni or something, a fallen God, a fallen Lord, he now attacks his manager each week, he cannot be quelled and restored to balance and status without the streamers! His next gimmick will be a Tengu in a tag team with Kane next year.

So, it's not some deep Japanese style reason?

I'll just stick with Owl's explanation.

You're right. I'll fork over the $2, and get both.

Ryback should cut the weird Samoan drop thing and just crush people with lariats. It's way more impressive and bad ass than a goofy Angle Slam/Samoan drop/muscle buster thing. I'd like to see him do a double military press somehow. That'd be way more impressive. Cena can pick up Big Show and Edge on his shoulders, but Ryback picking up two 90 pound guys is supposed to be some crazy impressive thing? Come on, son.

Huh, how odd - I like Owl's explanation better, lol.

Why is anyone surprised same animations are being used? There are a handful of animations from the original Smackdown game still being used.

Heath Slater bothers me when he's in the ring because his chest is overdeveloped but he's not cut (i.e. Otunga, etc.) so it looks like he's got tits and he's running around topless.

I notice these things.

So how long until THE Ryback and NXT black THE Ryback are throwing couches at each other on Raw?

Can't they just both throw couches at The Miz?

The beginning of SD! sounds fucking incredible!!!!

And Kane is definitely going out the right way by putting over everyone that he can who's worth a damn.

What do you mean going out? Should I get my streamers ready? I hope they don't catch on fire from the ring posts and burn Kane.

I get the sense that Kane will be retiring soon, and thus far, he seems to be using SD! as a means of putting over the future (Kofi isn't the future, as he sucks). Glad to see that he put over Sandow this week.

Yay more WCW stuff, and on a topic that is near and dear to me!

Rivalry versus Sting is hopefully more than just 4 seconds of footage, that was the coolest bit of the whole thing.

The crowd would go so ape shit every week he showed up to smash them. It felt like the biggest thing ever, pity Hogan's ego or whoever booked that shit decided to ruin 18 months of perfect build up. :|

Wish Sting wasn't in TNA, then we could get a proper DVD maybe. :(

No Hogan vs Luger from Nitro? :| Even if it was just a temporary blip, at that moment it seemed like a huge deal to see Hogan finally drop the title, was cool as.

Instead we get:

Hollywood Hogan & Eric Bischoff vs. Jay Leno & Diamond Dallas Page
Road Wild – 8th August, 1998

So everyone can laugh about how bad WCW was LOLOLOLOLOL

Get over it Vince, you won. :|

If we're gonna start doing this, then I'll contribute: Antonio Cesaro's nipples are too large.

I said it.

I hate reading here not wanting SD spoilers but hearing the OMG F*CKING SHEAMUS or Oh WOW that might actually be cool! type comments.

Its not exact spoilers but its like enough to make me have pre-conceived thoughts on it going in lol.
