***SHOCKER** Conker delayed AGAIN!!

It's taking this long for a remake? I'd hate to think how long it would take for a completely new Conker. I thought Rare said Xbox was the easiest console to develop for? How many people work for Rare?... 5?

I don't care about Conker's multiplayer mode, I just want it for the singleplayer. I never finished the N64 version because this remake was announced.

They better have a good excuse for this... i'd like to think that maybe most of thier resources are being used to develop Perfect Dark Zero... yeah right!... :lol

They're making the game for people who do care, so why don't you go finish it on the N64.

I guess people would rather they just put it out there no matter what. Looking at the state of Halo 2's multiplayer with unfixable bugs and exploits you'd think that people would want MS to make sure that this sort of thing doesn't happen again. But no OH RARE WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY OH WELL MABYE THEY'LL HAVE IT OUT IN TIME FOR XBOX 3 LOL
 
i don't understand why MSFT doesn't just step in and take over management then drop the hammer on these lazy ass employees. i bet they will if this kind of crap continues.

What Xbox.com states greatly conflicts with that of both EB and GS so a delay is still quite possible (probable, imo).
 
Dammit...I wanted this one REALLY badly.

The original rock solid club music is one of my favorite tunes in videogames. I remember downloading it on Napster. :)
 
I have no problem with delays. Let's hope they get the multiplayer as tight as possible, so it doesn't become the online dreck which was MechAssault 2.

Rare isn't what they were compared to back in the day when GoldenEye came out IMO. MS got hosed buying them. I think Nintendo got the better end of the deal.

Yeah I totally felt that as well.

I swear to god there's less than 15K on MA2 during peak hours. Conquest mode is virtually non-existent.
 
For the people that have tried the demo and also played the N64 version. Have the controls improve? Not that they were that bad to begin with, but they felt sluggish and unresponsive at times, especially when jumping.

Well, Nintendo chunked SK. But MS paid an insane amount for Rare, so Perfect Dark Zero better be the next Halo or MS will have to wait till Xbox 3 for the next Rare chance to make a return on investment.

Yeah, Grabbed by the ghoulies. I mean, cmon. Bungie is a far better property than Rare is. Nintendo wasn't dumb to get rid of them. They aren't money makers anymore it appears.

They damn well better have PD0 in development. Didn't the bro's that founded the company split anyway? Is it really "Rare" that we remember of days gone by? I don't know. I think MS paid for a name. They can't seem to turn anything out in a timely manner.

Look, when Nintendo is more than willing to sell you their share in a developer and not put up much of a fight, that's a red flag right there.

Does it really make sense for Rare to allocate so many resources to Xenon that there current Xbox title is severely undermanned to the point that it's besieged with delays?
 
Just move it to the Xbox 2 no point having what it’s half a multiplayer shooter on a almost dead system.

Doe’s anyone else think that Rare is full of Nintendo sympathizes that are doing fuck all work? :D

Hehe. In the case of the original game, it was actually understandable, because they literally started over from scratch multiple times before finally coming to the M-rated Conker we know and love. All I can say for Live and Uncut is that it better be freaking awesome, or Rare is in for some major criticism from gamers and the press alike (and from Microsoft too, I'm sure). The company's output lately has been just as drippingly slow but not nearly as face-meltingly great as in the past, so they've got some work to do to regain the public trust.

I don't have any numbers, but Conker was delayed extensively on the N64, and Dinosaur Planet moved from the N64 to GCN. Rare has always been the king of delays.

They were, but Nintendo themselves weren't too much better so it was less noticable. Well no, I take that back, they've gotten worse but not so much as anyone shouldn't have seen it coming.

But since the release of the GC, and Nintendo actually shaping up on delivering on promises, Rare is by far the worst offender of any company as prestigious.
 
I dont mind, the lead designer from the ORGINAL conker is working on it. I expect some surprises, maybe a multiplayer as amazing as Halo 2.

They still managed to released 2-3 games a year on N64 though.

I'd love it if they managed to prove all the haters wrong with an ultra kick ass perfect dark sequel/prequel/whatever for the Xbox 2 launch, seeing that Rare logo on Conker's box brings back nice memories of when they were great. Somehow I doubt it though. :(

From what I've played of both, UYA's was better. Maybe they've taken this extra year to make it better. I hope so.
 
And to think one of the main reasons for me getting an Xbox originally was for Rare games... FFS!

I guess the positive thing to come out of this, is that the single player game should be relatively "fresh" since it's been so long since I played the N64 version. Actually now that I think about it I can remember the game very well. ON SNAP!

Give me kick ass PD0 at Xbox2 launch and I MIGHT forgive you :P
