what does gaf think will they try something new or play it safe and use a male character?
And do you think it will hunt sales if they go with a female?
Yes. And it should be in 1969 London.
In my dreams.Yes. And it should be in 1969 London.
For some reason I think that if Rockstar did this, the protagonist would not be feminine, they would male-ify it with mannerisms of a dude and a bunch of tattoos and short hair. I would be glad to see a female character though!
I don't see what's wrong with this. "Male-ify" is pretty weird.
If they can write a good story with a female protagonist then great. But don't write in a female character just for the sake of having female characters.
I've never understood this argument. What does it mean exactly?
It feels like this position is saying that all characters are male by default and if you're going to have a female lead you have to earn it somehow.
If Rockstar had wanted one of GTA V's main characters to be a woman, would it really have affected the story? Like, any one of them could have been female and it would've been fine to me.
GTA no, Red Dead yes.
Thank you. This "a female has to be the protagonist" rhetoric needs to stop. If the creators think it's a good fit, then go for it. Let's not force the issue here.Should? It doesn't need to.
Could it? Sure, why not.
That didn't take long.If they can write a good story with a female protagonist then great. But don't write in a female character just for the sake of having female characters.
Red Dead with a woman would be pretty bad ass.
hmmm not too long ago I thought that it would be interesting if the next red dead featured a Native American female protagonist.
