If they can write a good story with a female protagonist then great. But don't write in a female character just for the sake of having female characters.
I don't exactly trust Rockstar to not be gross about it.
Red Dead with a woman would be pretty bad ass.
I just wish they would let you choose your character, with a character creator. Pick who you want.
Problem is, they would have to do Voice work for both male and female characters. You just dont want that to end up like NBA 2k16 where no matter how you create your character, they have a street dialect that sounds ridiculous.
So my idea will probably never work!
No I don't think they should do it just because
They make more than enough money on the game to do it. This would be a bad reason not to do it.I just wish they would let you choose your character, with a character creator. Pick who you want.

Yeah...they don't exactly have a great history of writing good female characters to be honest.
I'd be down for a female Trevor.
That would be fucking great. I loved the ranch owner in the first Red Dead, someone who could hold her own in a "man's world".
I think it'd be cool if the next GTV had two female leads in their 20s wrecking all kinds of shit that could play off each other, either as villains or best friends.
That would be cool but I doubt their ability to do so "effectively".

Hell yes, OP, I need to play a female equivalent of Trevor so damn bad.
Should? It doesn't need to.
Could it? Sure, why not.
Yes. And it should be in 1969 London.
.I don't understand all these conditionals of "only if it makes sense." Who cares? A male character doesn't, by default, make more "sense" than a female character. There shouldn't be more inherent scrutiny placed on the reason behind a main character's gender if they're female than if they're male.
if it's Bully 2? Sure.
