Are we sure KH collection isn't coming to XB1? With KH3 coming to XB1, skipping Xbox entirely doesn't make sense.

i don't know look at all the final fantasy games which have missed/going to miss xbox recently

I would not be surprised if KH HD collection misses out xbone if they even announce a new gen version

I'd be triple/quadruple dipping on all the playable games if it's 60 fps with decent AA. Would be a huge dissapointment if not considering they got 2.5 running 1080p on PS3.

I don't expect 60fps for these titles. Maybe 1440p with some MSAA. That's what i expect on FFXHD PS4

They will just remake the games that are just cut scenes in the other games into HD for that release.

Already have both of them on PS3. Still need 3D HD though. Hopefully that gets released on the PS4 standalone for a reasonable price.

There seems to be an agenda here, I don't understand why people seem to be getting somewhat offended at the idea of kh on Xbox one. As an Xbox one owner it bothers me so much that people assume myself and other Xbox one owners don't enjoy a wide variety of games and franchises, and therefore "shouldn't" be able to play them on the system of our choice, sometimes you just prefer the exclusives, that doesn't mean you can't or are unable to enjoy other games. I played a lot of kingdom hearts as a kid, with 3 coming to the Xbox one why shouldn't I have the chance to play the rest of the series on my Xbox as well?

It's not about you and others, it's about the perception of what Microsoft thinks their target audience is.

They do have a licensing issue with Kingdom Hearts and digital.

That being said, the fact that KH3 is on ps4 means they are working on a new contract.

When that is settled, we'll get ps4 KH.

And for those saying "but xbox fans miss out", yeah it was already the case with the ps3 exclusive KH collection. They said they made it to prepare people for KH3 and left out xbox entirely.

Now that xbox one numbers are so bad compared to what 360 was, I don't even think this stands a chance.

KH3 is on the X1 to extract whatever money they can from KH fans who only have a X1. I doubt they're aiming to gather a lot of new KH fans on Xbox since the audience that supports games like this just isn't really there (see Type 0).

I'm kinda surprised it hasn't been cancelled to be honest. perhaps they'll wait to see how XV does, first.

JRPG fans should probably get a PS4 if they have not already. Its already lopsided in favor of PS4 and its getting worse as time goes on. SO5 was just announced as PS3/PS4 only and its most likely going to be PS4 only in the west. Once sales splits are revealed for FF15 and KH3 its going to get even worse.

I just really wouldn't be surprised if it passed the xb1. I get the feeling the Japanese game devs are seeing the response to their titles having a distinct presence, and that presence is not on the Xbox consoles. Especially with the global market so utterly slanting to one side.

Just from a retail perspective, Xbox customers don't ask about Japanese games. They're never asking about them; and I'm not even saying every Sony customer is asking about them, but it's still a good chunk of their base.

Those arguing about fans of the series on Xbox, it's not supported by the evidence from every sales thread we've had and the info from myself and the other retail sources.

And chobel, honestly, I'm assuming that square would probably rethink their decision to release both xv and kh3 on ghee xb1 if they knew how this generation was going to go.

KHDDD would be included into the collection.

It is Square Enix, I doubt they are going to sell a brand new Remaster in an old collection. They don't really need to add a new game to sell the HD collection on PS4.

If KH 3 is out in 2017 (Which looks more likely for it) then KH DDD could be the 2016 KH game along with the HD collection in early 2016.

We got FFX/X-2 HD on PS3 and Vita and it's coming to PS4 this May.

Exactly. A few people on NeoGAF expressing interest in such games is in no way reflective of the actual audience that's present on the Xbox One.

Hell, KH3 being on XB1 is already surprising enough to me but I suppose that makes sense given when they made the decision.

I only ever played the first game on PS2 and since I had a 360 I missed out on the collection. I'd definitely be down for a PS4 release.

If they'll bring a Steam port of an 18 year old game with no improvements you can bet your ass KH is getting ported too. Which is good because that would mean digital KH <3 had to miss out on PS3 because it was a silly caveman release on retail only.

Has any retail game not had a digital release yet? They must have fixed that for KH3 since I think it's a requirement now. But yeah I remember hearing that as well, since none have been digital thus far.

It's a popular theory along with Utada but one not supported by Nomura though. He said this back in 2011 -

The problem does not lie with Square Enix, Disney or Hikaru Utada who performed the game&#8217;s theme song. "It&#8217;s difficult because of a reason I cannot say," Nomura explained. Nomura says he is thinking about how to make a downloadable version available, but he needs more time.

On the other hand, he could just be diplomatically cagey. I mean, those are the only 3 major parties involved in this game, it's hard to think of another factor in this.

Well I think all PS4 games are required to be available on the PSN store. We'll see, I'd be really surprised if such a high-profile title managed to release on current gen as physical-only to be honest.
