I mostly use it for games that ain't coming to Ps5 or way later. Games pass is always good. Played Hellblade 2. Got Starfield for like tenner in a local store and plan on playing Stalker 2 via gamepass. I have another PC hooked to my TV but hardwise it's on PS4 pro level. But still.. Not much of a PC gamer.
Yeah I’m a console gamer at heart, only been gaming on PC for about a decade. But Steam big picture mode is legit like having a console, except having access to the full settings menus there is no difference. You can add Gamepass games there too. It’s great.

But waiting on PC ports means that I also need a console, or I’ll be salty… And then I realized that I would want the best I could get, so I went for a Pro. No regrets. Waiting to jump into Stellar Blade tonight, it’ll be fun. 👍

I'm glad they're so critical of Sony skipping out on a disc drive while simultaneously pricing it like a motherfucker. John makes a great point about how overpriced Playstation's digital games are. How huge the price gap can be between physical and digital. And people need to realize this isn't like PC where a multiple digital store fronts exist that compete on the same platform. There is no digital competition on consoles. It's all by the same seller. And Sony skipping out on disc drive absolutely knew what insane profit margins they could reap selling more games digitally instead.

The general sentiment of PS5 Pro seems to be fairly negative on that talk session. Overpriced, superfluous and cynical.
Negative Charlie! There’s is completion on the store as EA has there store front along with Ubisoft no?

After playing around with the Pro all weekend, I gotta admit that I like it. I have noticed some of the shimmering people are reporting on, but it's not a big deal when considering the overall graphics package is just so much sharper/smoother.

What I've said about base PS5 for years is that the vision expressed in the marketing is a bit misleading - when they say, "4k/60/rtx" really you are having to choose between those and make significant tradeoffs. The result is that 60fps base PS5 games give the effect of a really great looking PS4 game. It was really the 30fps modes that were showing you what "next-gen" was capable of...but of course that comes at a cost.

PS5 Pro delivers on the original promise of the PS5. I think you can argue that that kind of sucks, but it's where we are.

My biggest disappointment is that there aren't any "launch-games" that really stretch this thing to its limits. The biggest technical showpieces for this thing are in some cases 2/3/4 years old. It's been me playing the same Insomniac titles that have been available for years.
