So...I know you guys may have this question a lot here, but when the other DLC characters will be avaliable?! Has Mike Z said something about it?

I imagine the other characters will be available when they are done, haha. They've just started on Big Band, so it will probably be a few months before we get him.

Also woke up to a Skullgirls Booster Pack which was nice. Not to many people must have the badge since this is my first booster ever. Now to see it going for Badge 2 is worth it.

Actually the opposite. The more people that craft, the more boosters that are given out. It's to boost the supply of cards on the market, to keep them from getting too high.

Question, after the online tourney, I pretty much was told that I needed an invincible assist, so I'm trying to go from a 2-person team to a full squad. I settled on Fortune.

I'm assuming hard fiber uppercut is best assist, would there be a reason to use a different strength?

What I don't like about full squads is one good into a reset is a dead character, esp if it's a char that does massive easy damage like solo Parasoul or Cerebella.

Happy to report that the crashing issue is no longer a problem and online play is like smooth silky butter.

Now...if someone could point me to an updated Ms Fortune guide/tips/strats that would be wonderful.

Peacock has a ton of hard counters. Painwheel can fly in around Peacock's blind spot and threaten like mad (and it hurts when you hit) Parasoul hits even harder and just needs to get in jump fierce range. Squiggly can draw Peacock in. Filia airdash game is really threatening. double can pretty much force Peacock to come in with Luger replica.

To me the stupid endgame in Skullgirls is the endless resets once you get hit- it's hard to get back to neutral in this game. That said, if it were easy to get back to neutral, Peacock would be a lot stronger.

Also if you nail the assist at all (even hitting armor counts) it's a long time before they can call another assist out again.

I don't think Hornet bomber is the only godlike horizontal assist for Peacock. Lock n Load is good offensively vs some chars (don't use it on Painwheel), and Squiggly has a ton of super-powerful assists. Filia's hairball might even count (but most will use filia's DP for a vertical assist)
I don't know how to say this, but I think you are out of your depth here. Peacock's strongest counters are Squigly, Filia and Double if you ask me. But that is why assists exist to plug those holes in her game. Also, touching the assist doesn't mean crap if it's not a happy birthday or if you don't have meter. You cannot afford to just punish the assist with Peacock on point or Argus Agony will push you all the way back to square one on the other side of the stage.

Also, I've seen you talking about Parasoul's high damage. Man, you must be on some good ish or fighting the one Parasoul highlander. Her damage output is nowhere near as high as the other characters (Fortune, Cerebella, Filia, Peacock, Double). Her damage is average unless you learn some high level tear loop combos. You just don't have to work as hard as you might with Fortune, Valentine or Painwheel.
Also the inclusion of the grapple system that prevents jumping and the like when doing a circle motion is godly. Also is it just me or is charging in this game far easier to do? When I played Q on SFIII it was always kinda specific. Regardless SF and every other fighting game could learn a thing or two from Skullgirls in that regard.
Parasoul has the fastest charge times in fighting games iirc.
Let's see...we've got soda...purple stuff...and PATCH NOTES!

Small list tonight, with BIG real-pizza taste!
Online crash fix. Thank you to Severin and Domo for providing the crash logs, and extra special thanks to Mister Tony Cannon for the help!
Personalized customer service - just one more reason to choose GGPO for all your netplay, childcare, and outdoor-furniture-maintenance needs.
Smarter All-Play for lobbies. Prioritizes first by those who have played the least, then by those who were ready earliest.
Fix Threads of Fate achievement to only require the original 8 characters, and ignore DLC. Don't worry, though - if you already got it, then kiddo, you've still got it.

The pain of a closed freeway can wring tears from even the stones of the mountains.

Lobbies need a TON of work. I've had like five game crashes today alone and the online is randomly super choppy against people with pings varying from the low thirties to 130ish. It's really random because I've fought JP people with 200 pings just fine. I'm ultra careful about my delay too.

Lobbies need a steady versus indicator too. I can't tell when people are playing or just away.
Lol. It is funny to see you complain about Hsien-ko being bad for 2 years in Marvel, and now you are upset that your main is too good.

I dropped Peacock after SoID got nerfed. Her remaining assists just aren't what my Painwheel needs, and it makes me sad. That assist also let me slaughter other Painwheel and Peacock players.
Peacock was never my main. I basically put her on the team because Squigly wasn't out at the time. A year later when Squigly finally comes out I switch to Cerebella over Peacock or Squigy. Funny how life works out sometimes.

Light and Medium are faster don't hit as high and I think invinc. wears off before active frames on light and on the first active of medium IIRC.

I still get crashes, but they're VERY rare now, I would say once every 100 matches? It's not discriminatory in any way. It could crash before a match in a lobby, during a match, while I'm scrolling through the game's menus (I had a good laugh the first time this happened, just scrolling to training option then BAM).

As for the stutters. I've only had this problem when I fight people with really low ping. Like sub 50. If I set my delay less than 2, by the time the second round kicks in, I get huge stutters.

I still don't know who wins the "delay war" in GGPO settings. Or if that's how it works at all. D:

Charging times are usually done as a way of balance.

Guile with a really fast charge time would be OP as hell.

Hmmm that does make sense. Sonic Boom and Flash Kick craziness would be nuts. STILL there's gotta be something that could be done. Since charge times are one of the main reasons most people stick to Team Shoto.

Regardless of that is there not a Skullgirls NeoGaf Group?
We had one made for RE6 GAF so it might be a good idea to do one here. Who wants the honors?

Charging is an art. When you're good at it, it's not an obstacle.

Okay, so I went in and bought Skullgirls in spite of having maybe seen 20 minutes of it played in my life. Went through the first 6 chapters of training, have settled on Parasoul for now.

Anything a noob should know? Like, basics dos and donts.

I meant the concept of guile in general, I have no idea what AE guile is like.

Can you imagine guile with one second charge time, but keep the sma e recovery on his stuff?
SF4 charge times are in the 50-60 frame range. They already are one second.

I only know Chun's exact charge time offhand, though. 55 frames.

The thing about charge times is that they can be hidden behind something else, hence the charge character mantra "Always Be Charging".

Faster than KOFXIII? Those charge speeds are ridiculously quick.
Probably? I don't have much experience with the game or it's charge times.

Crashes have been killing IRC folks all day since the update on the 24th. It's not just me either. It got serious enough that I finally changed the launch options and sent three crash reports to bugreports. It would have been more than half a dozen had I enabled -ggpoog sooner. Me and my cousin had a lot problems with it when he dropped by yesterday and saw lobbies for the first time.

Did you really just

put in a Jotaro cameo

in a casino full of fish people

It's not just that they made Jotaro a background cameo. It's that it is Jotaro. In a casino full of fish people. The marine biologist Jotaro. The fish-loving marine biologist Jotaro in a casino full of fish people.

I'm just gonna go ahead and assume that him spending so much time in this casino is part of the reason he got divorced and blame Lab Zero for it.

does anyone want to play?

Also, I'm trying something with Squigly that worked on the dummy, but when I fought my friend it didn't really work. It's basically whatever attack then Daisy Pusher. When the grab super comes out the dummy is still in hitstun and once the hitstun goes away it gets hit by the grab even if I set it to jump. Is there a delay to the playback when you set the dummy to jump as a reversal?

edit: nevermind. I should have just set the dummy to continuously jump instead of recording it `-`

I have 2 Marie cards, if anyone wants to trade I'm up to it, I already have Beowulf, Eliza, and Parasol.

I've been having a lot of fun, but playing with a Xbox controller has been painful... I need to buy a new fightstick.

Weird. If you skip at certain points of the Story Mode, it also ends up skipping fights, which ultimately leads to either a game crash or a black screen at the end of the Story (depending on if you choose to wait it out and fight Marie or skip Marie). This happened with both Parasoul and Ms. Fortune, but I'm not entirely sure what prompted it.
